This is a fit ending to the joke that is Sarah Palin.

Just think, this disaster could be the Vice President today. Says a lot about the Republican party.
Palin blinded by pride? | 9:50 a.m. July 7, 2009
Palin says of Alaskan lawmakers, "Their desire would be to clobber the administration left and right so that they can position themselves for office. I'm not going to put Alaskans through that."

That viewpoint represents self-deception at its finest. Throughout Alaska's past legislative session, it seemed to be Palin whose desire was to clobber critical congresspeople left and right so that she could position herself for office. She DID put Alaskans through that.

Palin is divisive, combative, ambitious, and partisan. Her style of governance has created a harsh political climate in Alaska where legislative progress is hampered and the average citizen suffers. Palin's hubris is her achilles heel. Rather than try to work things out with her detractors, she prefers vindictiveness and revenge. This strategy might be acceptable for Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter, but not for the governor of Alaska and certainly not for the President of the United States.

I continue to admire the unconventional way she goes about her life. Who cares what people think? The important thing is that we follow our conscious, look for opportunities to serve others, hold our integrity high, and love unconditionally. I like her attitude!

Well said Ralph. Just think, today our President is trying to mend relationships with Russia. While Palin, on the other hand is defending the homeland against Russia with all of her foreign relations experience, when Putin thinks he can just rear his head and fly planes over the ocean by Alaska.

This is just another cunning plan by Sarah for her to play the victim and garner sympathy.

This way when she re-emerges (& she will), there will be more in the arsenal of folksy antecdotes to rally the base, fire up the true believers, etc...

I am not a Palin hater or an Obama liker. But after this, I am certainly glad she didn't win & there isn't an ice cubes chance in heck that she would ever get a vote from me. Someone call the waaahmbulance.

brother chuck, I think you've finally lost it. I can't make any sense out of what you wrote except that you're a total misogynist....
Goodbye Sarah... | 2:20 p.m. July 7, 2009
You have had more that your 15 mins of fame.

Time to say goodbye. Even the Republicans think you are a joke now.

However, you may consider coming to Utah. They still like you.

What I think Americans at the end of the day are going to be able to go back and look at this warnings of good old boy network that has been the Washington elite.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election:

* Number of States won
* by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29

* Square miles of land won
* by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000

* Population of counties won
* by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million

* Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won
* by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2..1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler 's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

Dear "Ending", I recall when Joseph Smith was killed some said something almost the same to what you said. The problem is now the church has well over 13 million members! I hardly think this is the end to Sarah Palin! I admire her, and I am looking forward to her work for the Conservative Cause and Conservative America!

This woman (who can "see Russia from her house") couldn't even complete her first term in office.
Her brief run included much controversy and evidence of graft: million dollar wardrobes, etc., and I'm sure her children had a perfectly legitimate reason to be at that transportation infrastructure subcommittee meeting - at taxpayer expense.
But, like Bush, she claims to be driven by "a higher power" and that's enough for our radical religious right to qualify her as a presidential contender.
Nut In Action | 5:04 p.m. July 7, 2009
She was upset McCain has the Top Spot.
She has the Top Spot and is not Happy.
What about the Devorce she was talking about?
Can not run her own business.
One thing is clear | 5:12 p.m. July 7, 2009
The "option" she needs to follow is to go home and care for that sweet little boy. He needs all her time, and has been sorely short-changed so far. He deserves far better than what he's received from his mother.

I guess Sara is going to save the Constitution instead of the Elders of Israel.

Sara is a joke.

Lets not lose the focus here...Its Sarah's wardrobe thats the true vision of America. Bring on the glamour and gloss not the hope that is now a loss.
any body surprised? | 6:08 p.m. July 7, 2009
Palin is a radical right-wing religious zealot who preached "Obama is a socialist, "labeled different states "patriotic" and "non-patriotic"
abused her power, ran up taxpayers $$$ on her glizty wardrobe ...

Is anybody really surprised the GOP dumped her?

Drive-by media pundits like Limbaugh can get away with that crap, but a public servant ...?
Comedy Hound | 6:10 p.m. July 7, 2009
Please sarah, help save SNL for us. We need you on that big stage.
John Stoneman | 6:29 p.m. July 7, 2009
At least Mrs. Palin had the courage to resign. The same can not be said for Mr. Obama. He took a paycheck and did not bother to show up for work while in The U.S. Senate.

I feel for Sarah Palin.

I think she actually believes God is going to intervene and make her President of The United States if she prays hard enough.

In the meanwhile, I'll pray for HER.
Rush | 6:52 p.m. July 7, 2009
All options are on the table? Well thank goodness, because now she can take time to keep an eye on her other kids before they have kids out of wedlock too. Maybe with the book deal money she can afford them some birth control.
Hypocrite alert! | 7:25 p.m. July 7, 2009
John Stoneman, no words of praise for that cheating GOP governor in South Carolina? Hypocritical behavior is loved by people who claim to have morals.
Hamline Prof. | 9:29 p.m. July 7, 2009
I seriously doubt that a Hamline Prof. wrote the words prescribed to him in this blog. Prof. of Law do not make such silly arguments. Reaching is what it is called in the legal profession.

Must give chaper and verse to convince idiots like me who have been to the Hamline academic excellence... this prof. sounds like a made up deal. Frankly.

Please note, that Obama won the election, fair and square. And note too that Obama is doing a great job!
oh my sarah | 9:32 p.m. July 7, 2009
You have become a bad joke. Please leave the stage so that those who actually want to help the citizens can move in and take over, gop or demo or indp.

Yes, you want the money. And you will be on FOX very shortly. But quit trying to blame it on the media or the devil or whatever. Quit it!!!

Oh, you already are going to quit. Nevermind.

I like Sarah Palin, and for now I am willing to take her at her word. Some of the comments sound so politically motivated (On both sides). Isn't it just possible that some of us (including Palin) want what is good for the country instead of thinking only what is good for our political party? I have been disappointed by both parties during the last couple of years. Let us all get together with common sense (Like not spending money we con't have)and try to save our economy and our country while we still can. Let's get back to doing what the founding fathers wanted, a nation of good, honest, people sending other good, honest people to Washington to see that the best course is chosen for our country for the near and the long term. God bless America!
Getting so old | 10:20 p.m. July 7, 2009
all you couch potatoes sitting at your computers, day after day, flipping out self-important nonsense about things you suppose you understand. Yet, do any of you ever step up to become public servants? Doubt it, it's easier to sit at a computer and whine and throw cyber tomatoes. And because you secretly realize you/your family couldn't handle the very hate you spew towards those willing to serve. Get out there and DO something good!
She is who she is | 11:02 p.m. July 7, 2009
Refreshing...agree with her or not...she can take a punch, and is not afraid to be who she is. Let's see what fish she lands next time.
Mike | 12:04 a.m. July 8, 2009
It’s disappointing to see all the hate flowing out there as though that was going to make things better. What has happened to our country? What are we becoming when so many people delight in spreading hate rumors about a woman and her family? Shame on you. It seems to me that if we truly believe in our political position we wouldn’t be afraid to listen to the other side and honestly debate without throwing out garbage and trashing people.

I for one find Sarah Palin refreshing and gutsy who has an honest desire to server our Country. The fact that so many are attempting to tear her down proves to me that she’s what we need in Washington, instead of the self serving politicians
Linda | 12:22 a.m. July 8, 2009
What is she thinking. The thing she was criticized the most for when whe was in the political arena was her lack of experience. She was a one term governor.

Well now she is just a half-term governor and a quitter.

She made it worse and I say good riddance!
Anonymous | 1:37 a.m. July 8, 2009
good riddence!

A portrait of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is seen outside her office in the Alaska State Capitol building on Monday in Juneau, Alaska. Palin was not behind the large frosted glass doors emblazoned with the state seal leading to her office. Instead, she was fishing with family members in Bristol Bay. For the trickle of tourists who found their way to Palin's third-floor office, the black-and-white photo hanging in the "Hall of Governors" gallery would have to do.
