Barry is giving away our national security for an empty promise from his new found Russian buddy. GW looked into the soul of Putin. The media jumped all over him, and now fawns over Obama because he is reducing our nuclear arsenal and defense shield in Euorpe. Whine all you want to about GW, but at least he kept us safe.

Will pull all of the strings that Obama has attached to him. Obama will play right into Putin's agenda. I never have trusted Putin, and I certainly don't trust Obama!!!!

Our friends "Obamanania" and "Putin", above, reveal a hate and bias that do not reflect reality. Had this been a Republican President mending fences, these commenters would have been singing praises. And wasn't it Bush who looked into the soul of Putin and liked what he saw? Maybe there was more truth to that than we thought considering the trampling of our rights under the Constitution and the mess in foreign relations given to us by the Bush Administration. As for our current President, I see a lot of good coming from having a better dialogue with other nations.

Putin and Obama are kindred spirits; each desiring the same thing. "All power to the state", "no power to the people!" Nice!

I wonder if Obama can also see into the soul of Putin and like what he sees.... Or was that just Bush's "good" judgment. Wait, in an interview last week, Obama refered to Putin as having “one foot in the old ways of doing business.” He made other very stark, pragmatic comments about Putin. I'm thinking Obama is taking the right approach on this (which is what the knowledgable experts are saying, rather than the partisan hacks).

McCain was right - look into Putin's eyes and see the big letters KGB.

"Knowledgable experts"?? Didn't Neville Chamberlain rely on them too?

Bush was wrong when he looked into Putin's eyes... Now Obama is being lulled the same way.

Two naive presidents in a row.

Heaven help us.

The people in Russia have been kicked to the curb because of the fall of communism. Their government has abandonded them. The people there agree that life was easier under the communistic rule. If the government had supported the people after the fall then things would be different today. But the government there basically said, "fine, if you don't want communism then you're on your own". Today the people favor becoming a world power with communism just to get back to government support and live better. Since the fall of coummunism the population of Russia has fallen. There are 16 deaths to 11 births. If a couple has a baby they can become financially devestated. The population of Russia is about 130 million. The U.S. is over 300 million.

It isn't ALWAYS "difficult to forge a lasting partnership between former adversaries" - the best friends we've had for the last 70 years have been the British, even though that hasn't always been the case. Guess what the differences are? 1) We earned their respect, and 2) We share important values of freedom.

Slash our nuclear arsenals to make tyrants happy, and I guarantee we will find no allies out of it - just happier adversaries.

I think I would rather have Putin as President than Obama, at least then we would have a Congress that wouldn't let him do anything Socialist To This Country!!! I'm waiting for Obama to apologize for not acknowledging The Soviet Union's role in the Take Down of the Nazi's and Hitler's downfall. If it wasn't for them, we never could have won the war! At least as far as Obama thinks I am sure??? I mean he should have brought a Statue of Karl Marx and John Lennin, his hero's for a gift to Putin and Russia! Then he would have gotten them to have the warm fuzzies too!

Dmitry Medvedev is Putin's puppet! Remember that, and soon Obama will be too, afterall, he probably Idolizes Putin!!!

It's amazing to me how naive all of you BHO lovers are and how blind you are to the reality of what is happening to our country. Of course he loves Putin, he is afterall a closet socialist and would love to forge a partnership with his kindred spirit. WAKE UP people, learn to read, take a history lesson, and do something about it before the hard work and lives that were sacrificed to make our country great are destroyed by this fraud!

The Soviet Union started winning the war against the Nazis in 1943 at the Battle of Kursk, while the US was barely in Italy. The US involvement meant it would have taken longer for the Soviet Union to defeat Germany, and it guaranteed the partition of Europe.
