a bunch of dadgum baloney. it's a ripoff.
What a mess the govt. has created by getting taxpayers in the car business!
If/when GM (government motors) fails again, and/or incurs NEW lawsuits over the manufacture of its vehicles, HOW MUCH will the taxpayers have to shell out? (Again)
Since taxpayers now own 61% of a car manufacturer aren't we also responsible for 61% of the litigation expenses?
What incentive do the UAW and/or management have to change their act? Now that they got bailed out, why not just keep coming back to the taxpayers for more?
Fact is, this whole deal has left the taxpayers with such a bad attitude towards GM and chrysler that I doubt they'll EVER recover!
I hope the government does not cave into a bunch of ambulance chasing lawyers.
