One of the greatest American bands of all time. Only The Doors rival the elite British bands like The Beatles,Led Zeppelin,The Stones, and Pink Floyd in sound and style but the Allman Brothers are still legendary. They were far different, far more special, and far less commercial sounding than their southern rivals ZZTop and CCR. They played the southwestern blues/rock in a totally different way than anyone else. They were loud like Cream and had that southern flavor. They were in the day when the world was flooded with musical talent beyond belief where only the best are remembered.
