Palin resigned for 'higher calling'

Higher calling? | 5:51 a.m. July 5, 2009
What she said about uniting america is true and a much needed concept in government. Obama and his policies are splitting america and its people at the seams dividing us all by race, religion, sex, wealth (have and havenot's), or if you are paying for your own health care. If you are paying for your own health care you are the haves and must give it to the havenot's.

There is no requirement or explanation required and it is her choice and right to resign without comment. I wish more of our elected and corrupted government officials would follow her example. It's very difficult to fight corruption and fraud in government and maybe this is her way of fighting back without naming names in corruption in our leadership. Is this an act of defiance to make an end run around others? One thing I hope she doesn't do is associate herself with Romney, he is a crook and nobody's friend.

The press is looking for sensationalism and negative news to report on, as is many other people.
I don't think | 9:09 a.m. July 5, 2009
running for president would be considered a higher calling. I think she has done a great job as a governor, but politics may be done for her. I think she will become a very vocal activist for some organization. After the very personal attacks on her family, I think the presidency is out of the question. However, I think she would do a very honorable job as president if she made it.

It is not President Obama or his policies that are splitting America. The fault for that can be laid strictly at the feet of people like Palin and Limbaugh, who are doing their best to make President Obama (and therefore America) fail. President Obama TRIED to work with those of all policial persuasions, but was stonewalled and rebuffed by the Republicans.

Yes, the country needs uniting. It's time for the Republicans and their supporters to recognize that, and start working with our President instead of trying to make him fail.

The republicans will never work with other parties. it is against their ideologies. They have always been obstructionists and this will never end. A clear example of this was Boehner on Fox Sunday News. His party was not responsible for the economic condition of this country, they did not pass TARP, and they did not bail out the financial or automotive industries. This was all Obama. Such a shame that he was not even in office at the time of all the bail outs!

HOW has Obam tried work with those oter polical persuasions?

What compromises has he made?

Apparently truth is in the details and not in liberal partisan rhetoric.

Palin needs money. She needs cash. Not for a campaign but for herself. Lifstyle. $$$$

She will soon be on FOX as a commentator, half hour show person, like Hucklebee is. FOX will discover her in about one month, on air in 3. Money will be paid to her, millions. SHe will not have to tell the public how much.

This sets the base for her to run in 2012. In 2010 she will go around raising money for the right (sic) candidates and they will owe her their allegiance in delegates in 2012. She will have her money, and her run for the presidency in 2012.

You heard it all here first.

Nice plan, really. Brilliant in a sense. But she is so unqualified to be in office, even as dog catcher, that the general public will reject her.

But dang that woman is going to put away some cash in the next 3 years. Go girl!!! Before we all catch on.

Some of these articles are sad. While this country is going down hill, the people who voted Obama in want to lay the blame on Bush. We do not have a grown up president. It's time this administration and his followers put the blame where it belongs. It is so sad. Did Bush blame Clinton for 9/11? not at all, nor has he ever spoke ill of Clinton or any other past president. He is mature and a gentleman. Has he critized Obama since he left office? No. I knew when he hugged Obama at the inaugeration he would regret trying to befiend Obama. All you folks on the left could not bash Bush enough. Now that the shoe is on the other foot you still blame Bush.
BTW I am not a Palin supporter. I am realistic.
Why not try to fix the serious problems with our government and stop whining.

Fox News 3:51 has a pretty good handle on this. Is it also possible that Ann Coulter's publisher will find that Mrs. P. is also a great writer, and that her compelling story is worth millions in advances?

Sarah Palin is a white sheep in a black party. The Republican Party has become entirely too liberal. Bush, McCain, Romney, and Guiliani kowtowed to Reid and Pelosi for eight years, and now I see John McCain and John Boehner doing the same thing with Barack Obama.

The GOP is the Party of Big Goverment, higer taxes, liberal judges, regulated investments, pro-abortion, must I go on?

Sarah Palin can save the Party. The real question is - who has enoug courage to follow her?
