it's time for the US and China to get together and put a stop to NK's nonsense. butt China wants to rule the universe too. so what do we do? maybe time to take NK out.
Looks like NK is helping the US celebrate its holiday! Americans like things that use fire to lift them into the sky. And the fact that NK can't even get a long range missile up just proves how benign that country really is.
I hope and pray this isn't a precursor to any sort of MASH revival.
DPK is trying to start their new Korean War,but we should not fall for their game, cool heads should pravail with them,I agree with Jose Roberto we should get China in the table, and hope the UN also get to work and stop DPK and their mad leaders do a war that could be a disaster in the Korean peninsula.
They are trying to launch missiles at us and they are almost hitting Japan instead. PATHETIC! This will make basketball fans forget Shaquille O'Neil ever missed his free-throws! LOL!
Are these really missles, or are they just celebrating the 4th of July with the USA? Without us the little angry fellow would not have anybody to hate.
When NK fires their missiles, aren't they in neutral space? Why don't someone "practice" their defense systems and shoot the missles down?
I think that would take the air out of their balloon.
@JoseRoberto
So what you suggesting? "maybe time to take NK out."
An all out invasion of N. Korea? With our economy like this? With the largest deficit this country has ever seen? While already fighting two endless wars? Without reinstating the draft?
We've seen how difficult and expensive wars and nation rebuilding are with Afghanistan and Iraq.
Another war is exactly what this country DOESN'T need right now.
Maybe if Bush had actually attacked a country that had WMD and was a threat to our national security we wouldn't be in this mess. Instead, he wasted trillions of dollars and thousands of American lives in Iraq.
What a waste.... What a horrible decision...
So, let's see, the "measured" response from Camp David is to only ask them "please don't do that" 5 times instead of 25?
Pithy.
NK should just try to nuke us. I can hear Obama now. With "Achy Breaky Heart" blaring in the background, the band blared music to cover up Obama's speech, as we glowed in the dark.
that horrible decision freed millions of humans from being ruled by a madman.. certainly you don't consider that a waste at any cost.
How can you make this sound like this is Bush's fault. Have you ever thought that the reason we are recieving so much crap from other countries lately because they have absolutley no respect for Obama! None, Zip, Zildo, NADA!
And I find it interesting that some people can actually joke about this. Ha,ha,ha, Ya it is so funny that another country is shooting missles at us. Maybe if we just laugh and look the other way they will go away. We need to be aware and protect ourselves. This is not something Cute, light ,and fluffy! Obama better put his foot down and draw some serious bounderies in the sand. Oh and getting a backbone would be nice too!
Your headline on the home page for this story is confusing. Did they, or didn't they? By all accounts, they did. Your questioning headline is misleading.
@Hypocrisy
That horrible decision was also authorized by your Congress, and more than 40 other nations joined us in both wars. But you can keep living in your dark, sad little world where everything is Bush's fault.
George W Bush would of said
Achy Breaky Heart
But don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart
I just don't think he'd understand
And if you tell my heart, my achy breaky heart
I might blow up and kill this man
Ooo
FREE NORTH KOREA! Those poor, enslaved people would thank us! Many North Koreans want freedom and democracy, but can't have it because Kim Jong Il is a madman and a killer.
The measured response from the White House (Camp David) has been using hellfire missiles, fired by predators, to kill 72 terrorist in Pakistan and sending 4000 Marine to Southern Afghanistan to root out the Taliban that retook 90% Afghanistan during Bush's presidency without one person on Fox News speaking out.
Obama's record with Korea equals Bush's record. If you had a memory, you would recall the nuclear test during Bush's tenure. Why didn't Matt Drudge worry then?
There's a difference between comparing Bush's record on Korea and other issues than blaming him. Yes: Bush is to blame to Ben Laden escaping. He followed a policy of paying warlords to do our fighting at Torra Bora. It was a officer in our special forces who bought out that we let Ben Laden slip out. He was there.
Bush did let Afghanistan get reoccupied by doing dividing his forces while engaged in a battle. Afghanistan started with Reagan leaving Afghanistan with no government after Russian using Palin's words, advanced in another direction.
Bush couldn't have done much about Korea. I won't fault me for that.
For decades the North Koreans leadership have acted in every way like the thugs that they are and we have pandered to their demands and ignored their broken promises.
The people of Korea have been historically at odds with China and China's way of neutralizing Korea has been to keep the leadership that they have in power and at "war" with the South. A united and free Korea would be seen by the Chinese as a major threat.
Dealing with hostile countries successfully would be miraculous in itself with a government that truly had the best interests of the people in mind. This little mini crisis is just another way to detract attention from the things that are going on right now in D.C. While we are all looking the other way, our corrupt "Representatives" are setting up a radically new way of governing our country that seems very permissive to the masses as it strips our liberties away, erodes our constitution and undermines the values of the average american. Let NK keep crying wolf. They will get what they have coming sooner or later. If we would elect honest people to public offices that is. Otherwise, we'll get what we've got coming for our ignorance and laziness in not doing so.
