There will be puffing and postulating and lots of lawyer speak and in the end not much will change. What really needs to take place is a flat out boycott of the BCS and the NCAA. Do to the NCAA & BCS what happened in boxing years ago. Three things need to be put into place. 1) All left out conferences should form a whole new system since the NCAA doesn't do anything but collect money and penalize teams. Call it the UCAA (United Collegiate Athletic Association). 2) Have a playoff system at the end of the season. The money will follow, TV won't sit back for long trying to appease the BCS bosses by not televising the playoff, someone will and it will pay. 3) Boycott the BCS Conferences. Don't go play them. They want to pad their schedules by USING teams from other conferences. Let them play each other, their overall records will reflect the realities that they enjoyed USING other conferences but weren't willing to share the $$$ The impact would be huge even in the 1st year. Claims of being National Champions will sound hollow because the rest of the nation had a playoff!

Utah Man, I've never read a comment on one of these boards that was worth the cyberspace it took up. Until today. I like your idea. Where do we sign up?

Here's a thought, invite the "BCS" Champion to play the National Champion. Wouldn't it be interesting if that were to happen and the BCS Champ lost?

Great planning !
How can we help market your plan?
The boycott of games would have to be a white knuckler for a few years but well worth it in the long run. Let them play duh's teams.
Our conferences would be so much better off. Then teams like BSU , Hawaii , TCU, and the rest would be in a real championship bowl and I don't think the committee would have to search far for a big name sponsor.
