Were An American Band

Hannah Montana,Lone Star,Jonas Brothers. Why cant we get a real act together to make us proud to be Americans. American music has gone so commercial it makes us laughing stock. Socialism has dominated the freedom of music for too long. Artists have no freedom or control to make any good music anymore.
Journey,Styx,Kansas, and the Doors are distant memories. Even the Beach Boys are better than Jonas Brothers.

Jonas Bro's....THEY DONT EVEN SING!!!!!
Also....We are crying about money but now we can buy the tickets!!!! nonsense

Someone nice

That's pretty mean! Yea, those bands were good in their day but this is not their day. I think Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers are awesome!! They are good examples for our kids and they make great music! My kids look up to them and that makes me feel good. Yea, of course you put your name anonymous. I wouldn't want anyone to know who I was either if I was saying something so awful about someone.

HA !!!!

The stadium of fire is a joke! PEople would actually pay to watch some high school kids try to sing then get choked out from all the fire works smoke in the stadium. After that people get to set in their cars for 2 hours trying to get home. What an evening!!!!

Stadium of tire

very tire(d) of the lousy , amateur entertainment in the stadium of fire.

Pick your Poison

Which is worse? More threats from North Korea or Jonas Brothers coming to town?

Re:Somone Nice

I would not want my kids looking up to any famous people. Famous people are not role models. Parents should be but you teach different. I wonder about you. People have opinions and don't have to like artists who pass off garbage as music. it does not make me mean to be honest.

Led Zeppelin

I hear they are launching balloons in Provo the same day. I would easily buy a ticket to see the Jonas Brothers launched back to where they came from. Horahhhhhh!

Purely Public Relations

This is just an article written by those who put on the Stadium of Fire event. Is this really news worthy or is this to make more money? Jonas Brothers for real? They are the new Hanson! Where has SheDaisy been for the last 10 or so years?

THRILLED!

It will an amazing show. Who cares if they are mainstream. They have the quality of a very talented indie band. And they aren't bad ms. mommy g. )Re:Somone Nice (it's *someone MOmmy G.)

Posers

I'm not here to be a music snob, but the Jonas brothers are a product of their corporation. Completely controlled and marketed. If you look closely you'll notice that their guitars are props only... Their guitar players are in the back ground. The only thing funnier that lip syncing is fake guitar playing!

Archie Fan

I actually think the Jonas Brothers are okay performers but would much rather see David Archuleta headline Stadium of Fire. Now there's a voice! Maybe next year.

Wes Larsen

Don't listen to the hate-mongers. Hope everyone has a great time. Wish I could be there.

Love my country

Stadium of Fire is the essence of superficial pop culture. Jonas Brothers, Glen Beck, flash-in-the-pan.

Why not show us the depth and richness of the American experience with some real talent and a speaker with some intellectual depth and without the political cynicism?

Again, we'll pass on this bit of tastelessness.

Re: Re:Somone Nice

Yes, you were being mean. Being honest does not mean you're not being mean. You were dishonest (claiming the Jonas brothers do not sing, when they do...are you accusing them of lip synching?), and you were mean in the way you said it. Deal with that honesty, Mr. or Ms. Anonymous.

It amazes me, how negative and mean people can be. I wonder what motivates them to be that way.

The Jonas Brothers are laden with talent. I am in a band, I am a songwriter, and I like The Beatles, Rachael Yamagata, Billy Joel, Yes, Manred Madd, Paramore, The Climax Blues Band, Ray Charles, Townes Van Zandt, so many others. I also like The Jonas Brothers. It is a cheap shot to accuse them of making manufactured pop, claim they are talentless or can't sing. The Jonas Brothers make fools of people who say such things, and they don't even have to say anything to do that.

Glen Beck

is the only reason to attend. I prefer root canal over Jonas Brothers and SheDaisy.

Jonas Bros....

Go ahead...love 'em or hate 'em....but these boys are laughing all the way to the bank.

leader

The Stadium of Fire show is a perfect display of all that is wrong with the world and mainstream American culture in particular.

Shedaisy

Stadium of Fiery Invective from intellectual pygmies and majoritarian chest thumping archconservative whiners. Give us something uniting and patriotic. Give us a celebration of America. Give us a speaker like the Candy Bomber, or some returned soldiers or a historian of George Washington. Flush Beck and Hannity and other similar hatemongers for money. It wouldn't take much imagination to get someone interesting and uniting, who may not be "famous" and doing it for the money. Patriotism doesn't equal Republicanism and Conservatism. Get cowboy poetry, get Baxter Black, get a military band, get something American and uniting. Get some imagination. Get a clue that Beck, Hannity and their ilk aren't patriots that unite us during a sacred celebration of freedom, and what freedom has cost. (SheDaisy is a pretty good choice though.}

Happy Birthday America

Utah does it best. Patriotism is alive and well. A great parade and many competing community events make the 4th in Utah a great place to be on Independence Day.

Gripe all you want about the entertainment at Stadium of Fire. Some years have been great, some not but in the end it's a grand celebration.

My favorites in the past have been the Flying Elvi with Huey Lewis and the News and Brooks & Dunn. Oh, I really thought the diving act was great when Martina McBride was here.
