He's gone? | 11:07 p.m. July 1, 2009
Sorry. Haven't noticed anything different.
President huntsman 2016 | 11:07 p.m. July 1, 2009
Governor Huntsman will have as much experience as anybody can have running for president except for an incumbent president or VP. He is a twice elected governor with abnormally high popularity and has plenty of international experience. He is also young and moderate, which means he might have a shot at several swing states. There is defnitely nobody else that is even close to him, on paper at least (this is all assuming he is interested).

Oh that's too bad..not that he's been gone (not that I noticed) but that he's still in charge. sorry in my book a person can have all the popularity they want but that doesn't mean they're doing a good job or what's best.

Too bad | 6:32 a.m. July 2, 2009
Good article. Good man.

Too bad Huntsman's a Republican though. Republican party members are too closed minded to consider a man as well educated and experienced as Huntsman.

Long live Sara Palin.

If he is gone how can he be in charge? Maybe boy wonder has superpowers we have not heard about yet.
Doesn't have a clue! | 7:36 a.m. July 2, 2009
This is like the working mother that leaves her little children home alone and checks on them by phone.

Huntsman doesn't have a clue what is happening in Utah right now. It is impossible to be in DC and still know what is going on in Utah government.
Same old same old | 7:39 a.m. July 2, 2009
Several well placed sources said Huntsman was "absent" in heart, was bored and disinterested in being Governor, for months and months prior to the nomination for ambassador. He regularly fraternized, called up and chatted with, and went on nature hikes with, members of extreme environmental groups. He rarely if ever chatted up rural elected officials and other salt of the earth constituents of this State, favoring instead to run with the out of touch elitists who's extreme environmental policies have put so much hurt on rural Utah. Governor Huntsman will not be missed at all by salt of the earth Utahns.
Glad Huntsman's Gone | 9:33 a.m. July 2, 2009
Huntsman was never qualified to be governor. He had NO practical experience and was elected only because of his fathers wealth. His ignorance of science and buying into the global warming mantra proves him easily swayed and lacking in sound common sense.

During his tenure our air got dirtier and more coal fired power plants were built along the Wasatch Front. He was all puff and NO action.

Perfect for the Obama administration.

I say: "Good Riddance". Huntsman is not conservative; I wouldn't be surprised that following the completion of Obama's first term, (Hopefully his last) Huntsman
will show his true colors, and switch to the Democratic Party.

Still taking his pay check though. If any other state employee did this they would be fired and charged with theft.

It can't be too soon for me. Let's get this left wing, liberal in Republican clothing to the other side of the planet (China will do just fine).

no joke! if he was so bored as same old says he was, i don't know why he even ran a second term. i mean, it's only been seven months since it started. he couldn't have gotten bored so fast. oh, i know. he wanted to make sure he made his publicity that he was pro gay and anti-utah, supporting civil unions which he knew were against the utah consitution he swore to uphold. i don't consider him a triato for wanting civil unions, i consider him one because proposing legislation you know to be unconstitutional is treasonous and violates his oath of office. his stance should be punished by impeachment. if it was to amend the constitution, that would have fine, but it wasn't, and then he had the guts to come and say that he he doesn't see the constitution as prohibiting civil unions of any kind. read for yourself and decide if any person with a brain would agree with huntsman:
"No other domestic union, however denominated, may be recognized as a marriage or given the same or substantially equivalent legal effect."
Tell me you're just kidding... | 12:08 p.m. July 2, 2009
Lets see if I have this right.

You conservatives want to send this man to the other side of the world?

Don't you understand that Huntsman's education, experience, connections and world view offer you the only chance you have of reclaiming the White House anytime soon.

If I'm reading the situation correctly all I can say is enjoy your time in the wilderness. I hope you come back with your more common sense than your presently exhibiting.

What exactly did the governor mean by supporting "civil unions"? What rights would have been included? I think that's the info needed to know if it violates the Utah constitution's "No other domestic union, however denominated, may be recognized as a marriage or given the same or substantially equivalent legal effect."
Not kidding | 1:18 p.m. July 2, 2009
The idea that we have to give in to a pseudo Republican in order to capture the White House is so much tripe. Bush I and Bush II were compromisers, and the left ran roughshod right over them. Bring back a Ronald Regan type and you'll see the Reagan Democrats switch over in a heart beat, and the liberals running away with their tail between their legs. That's how we re-capture the White House, with a leader who has the spine and the guts to lead based on correct principles, instead of lead after holding their wet finger to the wind! You liberals think you're so cute with your condescending, smug little speeches about being out in the wilderness. The way Obama's ruling, virtually all of Utah will be wilderness as it is!
Look Forward! | 2:54 p.m. July 2, 2009
You keep pining for Reagan like we Democrats pined for Roosevelt, Truman and Kennedy.

I have bad news for you. Reagan is dead. Gone. He ain't coming back anytime soon.

Republicans need to come with a plan and team to win the WH in 2012. Hoping the current occupant fails or sending one of your best potential candidates halfway around the world doesn't seem like much of a plan to me.

But I'm a Democrat. What do I know.
RE: Look Forward!  | 4:23 p.m. July 2, 2009
Isn't Roosevelt, Truman and Kenndy dead, too?

YOu have proved what a joke you democrats are,

RINOs like Mccain and hunstman are the best potential republican candidates?

LOL!

Still Not Kidding | 5:20 p.m. July 2, 2009
I didn't say I was pining for Reagan, but for a Reagan type. Can't Democrats read?

You can pine for dead democrats all you want. I'm pining for a present-day living follower of Reagan.

Can't Democrats reason?
