I had the honor of "eating a few meals with Karl" at BYU when I was a student there around 1971 or 1972 when he was doing a summer theater clinic at the Y.
Mr. Malden was a guest staying in Deseret Towers and often ate his meals in the Deseret Towers cafeteria. Several times I saw him eating lunch or dinner there, and I said hi to him more than once, and we exchanged a few comments. He was very friendly and down to earth.
