Officials said they would request additional funds to continue the campaign if it proves successful.

Officials want additional funds?! -- then for crying out loud, Simply Write more tickets!

I'm tired of all of the speeding I see everywhere I go. I say the more speeding tickets the better.

And revoke a few driver's licenses while you're at it!

Speeding tickets are just another way to rip off citizens of their hard earned money. "Sick and Tired" and "RB" are just sheep that believe anything the government tells them and can't think for themselves. If Davis Co. needs the money than use the 150K from the grant instead of harrasing and bullying the citizens for their money.

People who ignore speed laws are simply demonstrating classic criminal thinking:
1) the law shoudn't apply to my because my needs are different;
2) I stay within a reasonable limit of breaking the law;
3) everybody does it;
4) there are people violating the law more than I am; and
5) its a stupid law.
People who speed shouldn't get upset when other crimes are committed by like-thinking individuals.

I wonder if this is some of your $700+ billion stimulus money at work?

Is this the best place to spend tax dollars?
What a wast of money.

I used to donate $250 per year to the Utah Highway Patrol Association...until 3 years ago when a UHP trooper cited me for going "6" mph over the posted limit in Bountiful. The trooper looked like he wasn't a day over 20 and spent at least 20 minutes in his cruiser checking my registration and license. I have never had an accident and that has been my only ticket in 32 years of driving. My ticket was a minimal cost, but I have saved $750 for not donating to them, and plan to save a lot more...I guess the kid did me a favor!
