Some missing facts. The invention of the printing press led to the Bible being printed in languages other than Latin. Martin Luther knew this would open the door for many divisions and private interpretations of the Bible,but thought it had to be done, The Reformation.
Eastern U.S. 1820's the "Great Awakeining", Johnathan Edwards,ThePuritans"from this emerges,Jehovahs Witness,Awake magazine,Christian Science,Mormons and Millerites.

All the critics of religion and doubters of God's existence fall into the trap that this article so eloquently describes: Limit "reality" to only that which can be broken down and measured in a test tube, and ignore or scoff at any suggestion that there could be realities outside the realms of our limited 5 senses. This makes NO sense (parden the pun).

Certainly there are more than 5 senses, and even the greatest of scientists agree to this. Consider Albert Einstein: "The cosmic religious experience is the strongest and noblest driving force behind science...science without religion is lame, and religion without science is blind." The power of pure knowledge (truth) leads us to pure religion, and thus the emphasis that Mormonism places on education.
