Pignanelli & Webb: Utah feeling the impact of national political issues

Right now the poster children for the republican party are people in sexual predicaments, (Larry Craig etc. etc.) scary conservatives, (Rush, Darth etc. etc.) or intellectual lightweights. (Sara Palin etc.). The field is wide open in 2012 for a full fledged, brilliant, rich, experienced, business savvy adult, to enter the picture. This will create a perfect opportunity for the gop to nominate Mitt romney in 2012. Of course this would be every Obama lovers dream, to watch the conservative infighting over the nomination of a (gasp) mormon! We can only hope.

Webb provides no reason why Sotomayor is not a good choice. What a waste of time, just throw a few stones and run. She is qualified, and she will be as good as any number of court selections over the past 25 years. Hatch is playing politics, and nothingmore. Besides, it won't matter what he thinks, except in Utah, where it matters even less.

You humor me with your labels of different repubs. Like the "intellectual lightweight" comment. The only lightweight is Obama/Biden, too bad they are a couple of simpletons in a serious dilema. Weakening the U.S. at every turn. But you just keep up the name calling while the good ship America goes down. Nice!
