Why Run for Office? | 11:54 a.m. June 26, 2009
Glad there's some people who willingly run for public office. It's a thankless job. You're free target for criticism from everybody. And people get really personal and nasty if you disagree with them. Plus, why get a job when you can form an ACORN chapter and get Obama grant money? That's the new "change" that apparently is coming our way.

run away fast the other way | 12:54 p.m. June 26, 2009
"Want to run for office?"

Not on your life!

Talk about an exercise in complete futility.

If everyone were like me, there would be zero politicians. They call them selves 'public servants', and the good one are--but unfortunately for the "public", they're mostly just self-serving egotists.

It can be rewarding | 4:48 p.m. June 26, 2009
I served on my city council for a number of years. It was difficult but very rewarding...Some of the best public servants are those who serve in the small communities of rural Utah. They are truly servants.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
