Separate business and government. Build a solid "hands-off" fence to make better neighbors.
Couter-suit, anyone? How can the bank that 'doesn't forget who keeps it in business' sue one of its largest client bases? This has got to be a joke, right?
Oh, I know, it is so Zions can pay back its TARP loan, right?
Sounds like a great place to live.
Give them heck Zions!
Sounds like a great plan, except that governments need checking accounts too. Or do you propose we deliver cows, sheep, chickens and eggs to city hall to pay our taxes?
Seriously Draper, why do you keep sabotaging this situation. You bring up issues at the last second to kill a deal, when bringing them up earlier allows for dealing with the issues. Someone in Draper city hall must have some buddy developer waiting in the wings to score a huge deal, eh? Keep driving that price down for them.
I was in Draper City Hall recently and asked about the situation. They lady (not officially) began talking about how aweful of a place Suncrest is, which is dumb, because it is really nice. She talked about how the road needs repairs, and I said "Didn't your inspectors approve the road design, construction and finish?" She said "Yes, but he no longer works here." I think that Draper City needs to take responsibility for what their inspectors approve. Cough up our tax dollars and fix the road (which is not in bad condition) instead of chasing off any developer that shows interest, by demanding that they have to do this and that and this and that. Draper City's government is a joke. Now that I have said it I expect to be "Black Bagged" like on "V for Vendetta".
