When you're doing the right things off the court, magic happens on the court, or in the hospital, in this case. Maybe Austin Collie was onto something... This is fantastic news, Coach Rose!

looks like the Cougs will be rising & shouting 'thanks' on this one. What wonderful news for all.

Who's Scott Samuelson? | 7:03 a.m. June 25, 2009
Is Dr. Samuelson related to BYU President Cecil Samuelson?

We all know lifes priorities. It is still nice to enjoy basketball and know the development of character that comes through competitive sports. Best wishes coach. Let's get that NCAA win and move to bigger and better things.

Congratulations to Coach Rose. Hate watching his teams beat up on my beloved Pokes annually, but I have a ton of respect for him and his program. Very glad to see him healthy and smiling.

A fine outcome for a fine man. We are BYU fans whether the Cougs win or lose, and one reason is because of the caliber of coaches such as Coach Rose. Congratulations on this victory.

The power of prayer! Thank you everyone for your well wishes....it worked!

About darn time BYU caught a break.
what worked? | 1:41 p.m. June 25, 2009
aren't there still a lot of hungry, sick, poor people out there being prayed for regularly. Glad Coach is better, but let's not get carried away...
Prayer works! | 2:51 p.m. June 25, 2009
Thank God, the giver of life and everything else!

God bless all, whether we be in need of food, health, wealth, or whatever. Our prayers will continue for those still in need, but since prayers for the coach worked, that's one less answer I'll be seeking in my prayers tonight.

No matter what we think we are most in need of, God always answers our prayers according to a plan of happiness. I happen to know many who hunger, are sick, or otherwise afflicted, but more than praying for these conditions to change, I pray that they will retain the happiness that they have found in their humble circumstances.

These people tend to have more gratitude for what they do have, and if we could see the big picture we might realize that God is blessing the meek to inherit the Earth. He knows best what each of us needs, and blesses us accordingly. I pray in faith knowing God will bless another according to their faith, if it be the best thing for that person.
Congrats Coach | 3:25 p.m. June 25, 2009
This is wonderful news for Coach Rose and his family. As a cougar fan who's frequently annoyed by Utah fans on these message boards, I've been particularly impressed with the class that well wishing Ute fans have demonstrated regarding this issue throughout the last few weeks. I know we all get caught up in the rivalry, but it's nice to gain perspective once in a while. I probably won't be contributing to the Crimson Club anytime soon, but I particulalry appreciate the respect that's been demonstrated by Utes accross the rivalry.

I'm glad that your okay! It will be fun watching your team lose in the first round again.

Speaking for Utes everywhere, this is awesome, wonderful news. Keep fighting, Coach. Looking forward to seeing you on the sidelines this year, and for years to come.

And to Crimson Club: You in no way represent what the Crimson Club is all about. You're merely a poser looking to start trouble.

Best of luck to Coach Rose.
RE: Crimson Club | 11:11 p.m. June 25, 2009
You're right, you just might be watching the Cougars lose in the first round. Of course, the Utes have been in that situation before... watching the Cougars at the big dance while the Utes are at home watching on the sofa. I hope that you find a lot of "fun" in that.

Of course, us Cougar fans would love to have you join us in the first round and several rounds after that. Here's to having coach Rose on the sidelines for several more Cougar-Ute battles on the hardwood. Go Cougars!... and yeah... Go Utes??

This is just great news! I wish to the family and the great coach. I look forward to Coach Rose taking the mighty Cougs to the big dance again and hopefully coming out with a win!

I'm glad that you are going to be well. Just remember coach, life is too short to lose another first round Tournament Game again!
