I hope the best for their friend but am not optimistic. This is just a reminder of wearing a life jacket, or at least having them in a spot that is quickly and easily accessible. I go boating often and rarely wear a life jacket. This will make me think twice.

What a terrible experience and consequence for these men to learn basic boat safety. Lifejackets aren't just for children on boats, they are for all passengers. I hope the one that's missing is found still alive. Clearly this man's survival is a miracle.
