Trash has been collected? Get bin off the curb

A central drop off is needed. I'm glad it's coming.
I'm a regular bicycle rider. Bad drivers are the single biggest problem on the road, not garbage cans, not normal drivers. Bad drivers, impatient, judgemental, distracted, non-observant, inept, and out to get me. Can't you drivers drive smarter?
Can't cyclists obey the law? You know, actually stop for traffic signals, signal before making a turn, not weave in and out of traffic, etc.
Not that I can't appreciate the frustration of having other people's cars in front of my house, but you don't own the street, or the space do you?
Lighten up. Depending on where you live, you park where you can get a spot.
That spot in front of your house, unless its private property, can be parked in by anyone. If your trash cans were in the way, I'd move them up to your yard and park in the space available.

With the rush to over develop the canyons with houses this is an issue that should have been part of developing the canyons. Installing off road pickup spots would have been much better than any need for a law to punish. Perhaps a law restricting the use of canyons by cyclists and joggers on trash pickup days where containers may interfere would make more sense. Not only is there the containers, there are the trash collectors and their large trucks and frequent stops to contend with. A centralized trash collection will inhibit homeowners and make it more dangerous for them to trek to the dumpsters, especially in the winter months.
