there be no "sovereign nation" hogwash protection be exercised here. Let the guy go to jail at the point of the mountain for a very long time.
this will play out in Utah, but down here in AZ, the notion is now being upheld that the state has NO jurisdiction over crimes on reservations.
The time has come to end the travesty that is "indian law." It is unbelieveable that there are American citizens (indians) and American territory (reservations) that are not protected by the Constitution and where our laws don't apply or are not upheld.
The sorry state of "Indian Country" should be enought to prove the system does not work.
for us here on the Reservations? a allegation is made by an individual and the Fed's come right in and arrest our people. Remember that this is a allegations, lets wait for the trial and see if we get due process!
