Yes, it does indicate that the folks at ABC may not be Mormons, or even from Utah.
Hawaiian has missed the point. The point is not that the ABC executives are one religion or another; the point is that they have bought into the message of the modern entertainment industry that immorality, selfishness, and outrageous behavior are desirable. There was a time in this Country when the entertainment industry promoted positive values such as chastity, morality, and respect for others. It is truly sad that ABC is now making fun of the old fashioned values that made this Country great.

All that ABC is saying is that Jed and Sarin's behavior would not be considered "normal" by the standards of the average resident of the U.S. ABC would not have known about the clothing optional resort if Jed and Sarin hadn't told them.
