Chokers!
They played well tonight. Great showing RSL. Tough result despite the effort....
That is beyond lame. I am as Jazz posters know as critical as I can get when needed.
Tonight, all should be proud of the courageous effort. This team is getting tighter, have a plan, playing hard for each other.
Yes, the marking unfortunately flopped on the tying goal. It happens. A bad break sure. Down 10 men, of course Houston will have most of the possession. They did in 1st half also.
That is the first game I ever heard on Real radio network. Man does that head announcer always "yell"? gee how do you take it?
Bad penalty kick or not that Houston could have tied it Rimando still came up big all night? Houston pressure finally got equalizer. Ching uses his head and yes should have been marked. However., as I said it happens.
Still, I said 1-1 would be fine. The last 3 games have seen improvement.
All is good tonight.
Real comes home for 2 games winnable.
Only 3 points out of playoff spot (1 win), 3 points out of 6th, 7th or 8th.
Fedor email me.
Could be a Galaxy fan...
I was frustrated, but RSL came away with a tie against the hottest team in the league and could have won. I will take that any day. I still wish RSL would learn to hold the ball better when they have the lead. Go RSL.
4 wins AND 4 TIES!!!!!
In futbol do the fans get a refund for ties?
If so, SLR would be a very economical team to watch.
Rio Tiento Stadium... A name change for the stadium is definitely in order.
The Deseret News send James Edward all the way to Houston to cover this game?
Kudos to your paper for forking over the money to do that. It's appreciated by this fan, at least.
The DN sent a reporter to Houston?
Why not?
There's not much to cover in the way of real (legitimate) sports this time of year.
Why not??
Let us count the ways.
Maybe because it costs hundreds of dollars to get someone down there, maybe because newspapers across the country have slashed coverage of everything because their industry is dying, maybe because the Deseret News, if I remember correctly, laid off 30+ employees just over a year ago.
forgetting irrelevant topics, why do we not discuss an excellent Real performance tonight?
Most teams do not play that well in Houston
You're exactly right. Nobody is talking about the incredible running around and kicking that happened. And the tie at the end was the cherry on top! That game was the perfect combination of what makes soccer so cool- running around, kicking a ball, and ties!
RSL has looked very solid the last 3 games. Still need better finishing, but they at least look like a good team now.
Can't wait for the next game.
We gave up another late goal!?! AAAhhhhh! Oh wait, i should be used to it by now. Given the circumstances it doesn't sting as much but when will the boys learn, this is a 90 minute game and you have to play them all in order to win consistently?
My favorite line from the article:
"Rimando has now saved 12 of the 41 penalty kicks he's saved in his MLS career."
Hasn't he now saved 12 of the 12 penalty kicks he's saved in his MLS career? Hey! that's 100%! (of the one's he's saved)
