Which lacrosse tournament in Colorado did the team go 5-1? Is there a link to the tournament web page?

I'm glad lacrosse is growing. Rich kids not good enough for football, basketball, baseball, soccer, track, or hopscotch need a place to go. Seriously, I went to Duke, and they had the #2 lacrosse team in the country at the time. When I would see the kids walking to practice with their sticks, it was hard to believe they were scholarship athletes.

This article is not about u-17 its the high school elite team that won the colorado cup it has nothing to do with the warrior tourney, we never went to that. They also qualified for nationals in orlando over new years.
a long time waiting | 5:22 p.m. June 20, 2009
Everyone thinks that Lacrosse is growing, and it is, but it will be along time before it becomes a sanctioned sport for the state of Utah. It will be at least another 5 years if not longer. By the way, it is not a high school sport like it is mentioned in the article. It is a club sport.

As a lacrosse communtiy we should praise these guys for their success. This is the first Utah team to win a major national tournament at the high school level! It is awsome for Utah lacrosse that this team is representing us at the National Development Program (NDP) Tournament of Champions. Congratulations and good luck!

I bet your some 35 year old who is living in his old high school glory days when you sat on the bench all year for football team. A good portion of the lacrosse players in utah play football or other sports too. I was on a team with two all state football players. I dont know what your deal is, but get a life.

To guest 9:05. Get a life! These boys worked hard. Your just upset you didn't make the squad. They're not rich kids, there young men wanting to play a sport well. Be glad there not robbing 7-11's or wearing pants down to their ankles. These boys are fabulous kids and have worked for the right to go to Orlando. So just go cry to your mother I'm sure she'll make it all better!
And to GOOD, you have some serious issues! You should ask yourself what your REAL problem is. I agree he is a "Want a Be" "Should have been" Get a life! Mr. Good Frisbe Golf is just for you no contact.

It amazes me that a team does well and all we want to do is criticize them. They won a tournament and are invited to National Championship tournament. Congratulate the boys instead of knocking them. They represented Utah very well. And they went to Rutgers the next week and were 3-2 against good east coast competition. And were praised by College coaches for their level of play and how surprised they were by the talent in Utah. And the team in Vail was not even the same team in case you were wondering they were in New Jersey at that time. Thanks though Again Congratulate the kids. I believe jealousy is a really ugly color and it is showing.

I love the comment 'When I would see the kids walking to practice with their sticks, it was hard to believe they were scholarship athletes.' It sums up lacrosse well; the stick is a great equalizer. You don't need to be the fastest, strongest, etc if you have the stick skills. I remember meeting pro laxers and thinking wow, not an athlete, but put a stick in their hands and your jaw drops.
Lax is a great sport and I am glad people like 'Good | 10:25 a.m. June 20, 2009' are kept out of the sport, we don't want/need them. I wish you could've seen the PC Shootout. The difference between lax and other sports is you can congratulate, respect and become friends with your opponent immediately after a tight contest. After one of those awesome competitions you honestly don't care about winning or losing. Just love of this great game.
