Is this a big deal?

It's certainly not as big a deal as your favorite topic--Fireworks! Yes, the greatest danger to all of the Wasatch Front isn't crime, pollution, terrorism, or fraud. It's fireworks!

Fireworks kill! (Or is that Guns Kill?)

Fireworks burn down all of our forests.

Remember the terrible forest fires we had a few years back? They were caused by Mother Nature...I mean fireworks. And the fires we had last year? They were also caused by Mother Nature...excuse me, I meant to say fireworks.

And all of our children who've died or been injured from accidents...eh hem, fireworks.

Unintentional injuries are the number one cause of death for children, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And even though fireworks wasn't among their top ten causes of injury to children, we know it is. We just do.

Step aside Libertarians. Our forests and children need our protection. Ban all fireworks.
