Coach Rose is a fighter and we are praying for his continued success in licking this cancer. Do what you need to for your own health is the first order of business, then you can take care of your family and then finally other matters, like b-ball.

Cancer is such an ugly sickness, but with the modern miracle of medicine and God's help people do get through it. I know my brother did and we are praying that the Coach will too. Go gettum Coach!!!

I recently had surgery and I'm very grateful that I don't have a spotlight in the media world. I pray for Dave success in beating this thing the way he wants to beat it. I support him in his desires. For the media; go home, shut up, leave Dave and his family alone. You don't need to know everything about him. If he chooses and feels it's prudent to hold a press conference and you are invited to attend, then attend and share what he wants the world to know.

The media should not be the microscope under which everything must pass in order to keep the universe in proper order. The media doesnt need to go around stirring up questions of current or future players. If there are players that choose not to play for BYU because Dave is ill then let them go where they want.

Go do something good like telling the world what medical advances are available to all cancer victums, etc.

Oh, I know, good and virtue doesnt sell! Get a life!

Dave Rose is one of the great guys in college basketball. His enthusiasm, dedication, and determination will help him battle this demon. I look forward to seeing him on the sidelines this coming November. Good luck and God bless!

I don't think the media is hounding Dave and his family. This was a press conference called by BYU, because it recognizes that there are a lot of Rose supporters and fans out there who care and want to be informed. Evidently, just like you.

From an avid Ute, all the best to Rose...a truly good guy in sports.

Another Ute fan here that is rooting for Dave Rose. It doesn't make me classy. Only a donkey would wish Coach Rose or anyone else a fatal outcome. Dave stands out as a fighter to me. I have faith that he will use his competitive fire to beat this brutal form of cancer. All these prayers being offered up for Rose will keep coming accross the board of any rivalry. And they come independent of religious faith, or from those hoping for more BYU wins or losses. I can't stomach to root for BYU but have long seen Dave Rose as a warrior stud. Extra points: we should all hope the best for Rose and anyone else with cancer (outside of Bin Laden that is). However, nix that name in parenthesis from your minds as you pray for Dave Rose. Coach, I look forward to seeing you on the cougar sidelines this winter.

Do Dave Rose and Steve Jobs have the same islet cell neuroendocrine tumor pancreatic cancer? Steve Jobs also got a liver transplant.
