High Tech homes? When your 'high tech' device breaks you throw it away because no one can fix it.

I give them a year of so before they are ready to throw the entire house away. I'm guessing NOTHING is going to work as well as it should. Good luck guys.

Man, everyone is so optimistic. Seems if you guys were in charge we would still be living in Log cabins, have an outhouse with no indoor plumbing.Forget about electricity. Imagine how people felt about having indoor wiring,YIKES. FYI the innovations are not new concepts they are decades tested in other parts of the world and in the U.S. . The innovation is the introduction to the market and hopefully making making them a builder standard.

The media event seemed like a success! i didnt know so many people felt so negatively about the project. Give it a chance. Techonology is expanding, and it does not necessarily mean it will break down b/c it is more advanced. It is designed to perform better not malfunction sooner. Could you imagine what the world would be like if change was not accepted? Think about it...

Wood if managed properly is renewable, is extremely strong for its mass & is easy to work with. Wood is the ultimate in high tech green. Is also easy to reuse salvaged wood. Go figure.
