We can all point fingers and blame both sides. We can look for lack of experience or lack of reality. We can even criticize idealism and lack of understanding of the issues and programs but I believe what we are seeing is someone who is trying to do what he feels is right. I did not vote for him but I will next time. People think he is a clown and pandering to one group or the other but the think I see that is he is creating a name and he is doing something. If at first you don't succeed try try again. Let him try, it may eventually lead to succeed!
Go Jason Chaffetz! | 4:21 p.m. June 18, 2009
Great start.

Jimmy Matheson makes a token charge at the automatic pay increase Congress gets every year. Maybe he and Jason can team up and put an end to that disgusting "automatic pay raise unless both the House and Senate reject it" charade.

Congress should get a pay CUT every year there is a budget defecit. And take a 50% cut in their own office budgets.

Congressmen should be prohibiting from voting on ANY bill they have not personally read every page of, and it should not be voted on until after the public has had 10 days to review the version to be voted on.

Congress should end every "refundable tax credit" program unless there is an actual surplus in the treasury.

Jason is off to a great start! We need 534 other people like him in Congress.

Rep. Chaffetz keeps doing good things.
I hope we get 300 US Reps that join him.

I can almost not believe what I have been reading. This is literally the very first time I have been so impressed with an elected official. Mr. Chaffetz, I applaud you and your efforts! We need many, many more congressional representatives like you.
