WHO? | 12:56 p.m. June 17, 2009
Curtis who? is that a first name or a last name or is it more the Prince or Madona - a single name phenomenon.

While some may keep up on all the comings and goings of Provo politics I have not and being new to the city doesn't help. At this point I'll vote for one of the other candidates as they have full names.

already the nitpickers, non runners are nitpicking and not running.

Curtis: go for it. Let the naysayers and lazy people watch you go by. Do new and better things for Provo. Work with the leadership, listen to the poor. You can't go wrong with that thinking.

Maybe the "JohnCurtis.org" reference was a little too cryptic for some of the above commentors. I'm going to go out on a ledge and just guess he's John Curtis. But then maybe he just borrowed that name for purposes of running a campaign.

The link in the article is even live guys. And to think the above comments were made by people who may vote? God help us all.
A New Direction? | 6:10 p.m. June 17, 2009
Please, please, please let Curtis take Provo in a new direction. Provo has been languishing with low tax revenues, extremely poor decision making (iProvo), and a council set on crippling future growth. We sent the retail tax base to AF after shooting them down. We refused another freeway exit and are left with TERRIBLE traffic and virtually no path of East-West travel. And all the city's efforts to revive downtown (aka prevent modernization and growth) have resulted a walking art gallery tour of empty buildings on Center St. What a joke. If it weren't for BYU and its 1000's of students just doing their thing, Provo would haved rolled over and died a long time ago or been regulated to become a town the size of Salem or Blanding.
A concerned citizen | 9:09 a.m. June 18, 2009
As a simple suggestion to this campaign, I would have them look up what actually reduces drugs and gang activity in communities. And no, it is not police training and equipment; it is much more simple than that...
Hint | 6:40 p.m. June 18, 2009
To Mr. Curtis,
If you just talk to the citizens and employees with respect and humility you will be giving them a much needed gift that they have not seen in 12 years.
BETTER MANAGEMENT | 10:26 p.m. June 21, 2009
we are in desperate need for better management decisions. i feel that provo is in a worse situation, because of poor decisions. we need someone who will create revenue, and no when to say when on a bad idea. provo city and provos employees will suffer for years to come because of non thoughtout decisions. i think that iprovo will be given back to provo to deal with once it has completely sunk. i know the mayor is going, but which department heads also need to be replaced.
