If you'll reread my post: you buy insurance, it's not an investment.
For example: New cars are bought not invested in. A Very few new cars can actually be an investment. You buy a new car for different reasons: safty, mpg, looks etc. A new car performs "internally" some better that others. I have an 02 Infiniti Q45w/160K that I BOUGHT used for $20k in 05. I just drove from Sacramento to Dallas in 2 days. THis car has 340hp and 0-60 in sub 6 sec. BUT I got 24.7mpg on the trip and averaged 69 mph over the two full days of driving. My comparision to life insurance is this: The purchase of the product (car or insurance) was not for investment purposes. However, it has performed better than most in its class for the price.
I have never in my life seen or heard someone recieve a death claim check and say "I wish they had just invested the premiums!!!" Think about it.

I just can't help noticing all the mistatements and exagurations in these posts. Clearly many of you have no understanding of "other" proudcts (i.e. you "WL" life guys completely misrepresnt UL...just like "UL" crusaders misrepresent WL).
