I cannot believe it. This was my childhood best friend. Jeanie - why didn't you call me and tell me you was having trouble? You was the absolute sweetest girl I ever knew. I love you!

Sad day

It's sad when people are in abusive situations, and later killed because of it. For one thing - the living abused people cannot talk or call someone else, as they are so broken down by the abuser. It's hard for them to get beyond that point and break away.

So sad.

Just so sad

Please remember both these people have families. No matter the who's or hows they are suffering. I know Jeanies Childeren and they are very much suffering and devistated. I just hope everyone who posts on this comment board respects the families of this Tragedy. It's just a very sad ending to a tragic situation.

Sad Situation

"Just So Sad" is right---both of these people have families who are suffering. This is such a horrible situation and so many people are hurting right now because of what has happened. The media provides us with the story, but we cannot begin to imagine what was happening with these people. It's unfortunate that this has happened and no matter what the story is, it won't bring them back. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the families of this tragedy.

Anger is a choice. It is the role of parents (especially the father's) to teach a young man to bridle that passion. It takes real work, sometimes over years. Absent that, and the finger-pointing begins 360 degrees on the X, Y, and Z axes. Of course, there are exceptions, but as Stephen R. Covey suggested, let's stop hacking at the branches and get to the root of the problem. While it is reported more frequently now, it is rare a mother will fail in her duty. Sadly, it is the failure of fathers, I believe, that is the root of most of societal ills. As Elder Christopher admonished, "Be Ye Men."

Jeanie was a dear friend who I had not spoken to in many years....she was a sweet, kind, funny person who was so much fun to be around. This is tragic and I am so sad that she did not feel like she could reach out to the many family members and friends who loved her...I just want her children and dad to know how special she was to me and how much she will be missed. I plan on becoming active in my local area to help fight domestic abuse and will think about Jeanie and hope I can help just one woman get out of a similar situation. I love you Jeanie, may you rest in peace and may your family feel God's love and get through this.

I know Jeanie and her family, she was a very loving and caring woman. I feel so bad that it ended badly. She had many people who loved and cared about her and would have done anything to help her! The sad thing is that she had decided to leave and this was what happened, so those who say she should have left need to know that was why this happened, she was leaving, crazy people don't need much to go over the edge and he must have known this was the end and sadly this was his only solution. I just want to tell the White kids that I am sorry about there mom, and I know they still have a lot of family there to help them through this! Your in my thoughts! Love, Ash

Jeanie was an absolutely amazing person. She was a gifted individual who loved and worked patiently and lovingly with our autistic toddler. She was dedicated, she was kind, she was truly sweet. I could not even begin to conjecture what was happening in her personal life, nor do I believe that is anyone's place. I am just grateful for the ways in which she helped my little boy, and the kindness she showed toward him. Her life meant something to our family. We wish her and her family peace and our love and sincere condolences.
