Good luck Gary. I hope you make it somewhere.

After watching an exhonerated felon venerated by a weak minded populace, I have decided that paying good money to watch sketchy rich guys exercise is truly an indication of the state of our current society.

Best of luck to the young man featured in this article.

Luke Nevill for the Jazz in round #2. Shot blocker, good free thrown shooter, decent post up game, getting stronger. No brainer.

Good luck, Gary. I hope the draft treats you well. I would love to see you play again.
Nevill | 5:40 p.m. June 15, 2009
is another project. Lets move up in the draft and get exactly what is needed. Talent that can be used this year and get out of the project business. Projects are costly and rarely pan out.

The Jazz got luckly with Koufos. It would cost them very little this year to move up a few spots and get a much better quality player. They will probably go European with the 2nd pick.

They need someone to replace Almond, Price, Knight and maybe Korver, not to mention a back up for Millsap. Nevill does not fit those needs.

Wow, thanks for the downer. I'll skip reading the obituaries today.
GW to Utah | 6:29 p.m. June 15, 2009
Gary would be a great adittion to the Jazz. Unlike Carlos Boozer Gary plays hurt not riding the pine...
Dallas Aggie | 7:28 p.m. June 15, 2009
I too think Gary would be a great fit for the Jazz. I think he could live up to the effort expectations of Caoch Sloan. Thanks for representing USU!
Who do the Jazz owe a favor to? | 7:49 p.m. June 15, 2009
Shaun Green in the NBA? That's the funniest thing I've heard in years. The Jazz obviously are doing someone a favor. Green has no chance, ever, of being an NBA player, let alone a pro player in Europe.
Oh please | 8:32 p.m. June 15, 2009
To: GW to Utah at 6:20pm: Get a life. I don't like Boozer either but don't compare the two in the same breath. The kid hasn't played a single NBA game in his life.
Green | 8:34 p.m. June 15, 2009
wasn't even a standout college player and has nooooooooooo chance at the next level! Go Babtists!
I wonder if Fez | 9:10 p.m. June 15, 2009
and the Jazz pick at 20 could be traded to the Kings for their number 4 pick? That would give the Jazz Evans or Curry.

The Kings are interested in Fez.

Hansbrough to the Jazz is a no-brainer. The Jazz should trade up to the top five to get him. He would start ahead of Boozer and make twice as many All-Star games as Loozer. Hansbrough was a far better college player than Tim Duncan. If Duncan can win 4 titles, Psycho T will win 5, easy.
re: Oh Please 8:32 | 6:13 a.m. June 16, 2009
Don't say that Boozer has never played an NBA game in his life. I know it sure seems that way sometimes, but I'm sure John McCain can remember when he played more than half a season.

Sean Green in the NBA :) still laughing. I do admire Wilkinson's heart and thought he and Wesley played hard all year long and especially in there NCAA tournament game in Boise. Good luck Gary
Booser over Gary | 8:15 a.m. June 16, 2009
It will be a shocker if GW makes it in the NBA. If Jaycee Carroll couldn't make it than I have much bigger doubts Gary will. Gary, like a lot of decent college players, will make a great living playing in Europe.
Good Young Men | 9:42 a.m. June 16, 2009
Both are good young men but have 0% of a chance playing in the NBA! I suggest to get on with your personal life careers, and quit wasting time dreaming about pro basketball either here or overseas. You got what you went to college for now use it.
To: Good Young Men | 10:44 a.m. June 16, 2009
These guys have a great shot of at least playing overseas. They can make $100,000+ easily overseas and you are telling them to give up? For what, so they can sell cars or whatever for $30,000 a year.
Dave | 10:46 a.m. June 16, 2009
Wait a minute, I thought BYU should've had one of their players at the tryout.....that just isn't fair to invite an Aggie and a Ute and not a Cougar, come on Kevin O, step up to the plate.
to: Dave | 12:17 p.m. June 16, 2009
probably b/c BYU doesn't have anybody the Jazz or any other NBA team is remotely interested in.
No interest | 12:45 p.m. June 16, 2009
The Jazz have no interest in Green. They must have been paying Boylen or Hill back for something.
Re. Good Men@10:44 | 12:53 p.m. June 16, 2009
Is that what a college degree gets you is a job selling cars? Get real. And also does the one with the most money become the winner? Of what?
Anonymous | 3:31 p.m. June 16, 2009
Read the article guys. Green was invited because someone else backed out and they needed even numbers to make the workouts meaningful.

The Jazz are not remotely interested in him.

Gary Wilkinson, on the other hand has a much better shot at the NBA than you are giving him credit for. He has already surprised people at the Portland Camp, and he will surprise more before it is all said and done.
Re Dave | 8:14 p.m. June 16, 2009
Nice job ewe troll, way to bring the Y into a conversation on why green will never play in the NBA.
ar colvin | 9:31 p.m. June 16, 2009
All of you talking magpies amaze me with all of the knowledge that you have about most everything in life.

In the 70's & 80's I sold cars and made $50K to $80K a year - yes I worked lots of hours.

I cannot see anything wrong with some of these guys going to Asia or Europe and getting paid $250K ++ - there are probably not many of you if any at all - making that kind of $$...
no chance | 12:35 p.m. June 17, 2009
Giant Green fan but he will not be playing in the NBA. Why are people so quick to write him off and not Wilkinson, Neither have any shot at a team.
LOL | 9:33 p.m. June 18, 2009
These two have no chance not even close to being good enough for the NBA.
someone with a life | 10:21 a.m. June 23, 2009
never say never! cuz ya never know. we all know green has absolutely no chance at making it...so lets just give Gary Wilkinson credit for being a good ball player and being a hard worker and lets just see what happens...cuz ya never know.
