Nice job, Mayor Becker, the Airport Authority, and the Airport's administration. This decision to offer free wi-fi to travelers shows that Salt Lake City is not only hi-tech but also hospitable!
This is good stuff!
What do you think all those increased connections are going to do to the speed?? What good is free WiFi if it moves at dial-up speed. That will most certainly NOT make SLC look either hospitable or hi-tech. I guess the Mayor didn't think about that.
I find it hard to believe that they don't think traffic will increase significantly. People will be glued to their computers or whatever wireless device they have even in the little time they have between flights. I know I will! Hooray!
Kudos to those who made this happen! This is an extraordinary example of customer service.
This is good news anyway its sliced. Good work DN. Look for SL to bump up a few notches the next time someone does one of those airport popularity surveys.
I would take a little slower speed to check my email, then paying 8 bucks for it.
Its about time. Already available in most airports!
Big Dave, I can tell you don't fly very often. Unfortunately, FREE wifi is available at very few airports. But it is catching on. Good for SLC for being on the forefront of this. Hopefully, Atlanta, Chicago and the other big boys will follow suit.
It's about time.
check e-mail heck....
I fly business between SLC and SEA weekly.
By having WiFi access, I can
check flight status,
review next available flights with any and all airlines [not just the airline service counter I'm standing at],
re-schedule my own flights and avoid those stupid lines!
[Plus - the on-line tickets sales are always cheaper than service counter tickets]
Saves me time and money.
I'll be sure to pass this good news along with all my fellow travelers.
Thanks SLC.
This is really good news. I have enjoyed free internet at the Las Vegas airport for a few years now, and a couple of others. Glad it is here in SLC too. Will make my waits more enjoyable.
Kevin
Yippee!!!! This is very good news! I travel frequently overseas and most of the major airports I visit overseas have free wi-fi. For all of the airport fees we get dinged for it is nice to have something like this provided in return. Kudos to SLC airport!
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
