It didn't used to be a felony did it? For some of these older guys? Was it a felony in the 3o's 40's etc. When did it become a felony?
quit living in the past!Go forward with the caravan!
This is just the tip of what has been going on for years. These thieves should all be prosecuted at the full extent. To show that this is very serious. I liked how one of the culprits stated that he didn't know this was a crime. Come on that is degrading to the federal courts and to the community that helps protect history for knowledge of later generations.
LEAVE THESE PEOPLE ALONE.LAW-ENFORCEMENT NEEDS TO BE SPENDING THERE MONEY ON GETTING RID OF ILLEGALS.WE JUST HAVE TO MANY SO-CALLED OFFICERS WITH NOTHING TO DO.----FIRE THEM!!!
If someone dug up you Grandmothers grave, took her out of her coffin and took off the necklace she was buried with, would that change your perspective? Most of the people being charged here knew exactly what they were doing and had had significant experience doing these things before. Unless these laws are enforced, the trade will continue. Complaining that there are greater crimes to solve is a weak argument. There will always be greater crimes to solve. But, stealing history from everyone, may only be done once. Yes Virginia, these people are thieves!
