I wish coach Rose a speedy and complete recovery.

Get well soon Coach. You have done a great job with the program. I can't wait to see some of your new recruits on the court. You are building your team for a special run here very soon.

Coach Rose, get well soon! All the best to you and your family, and may God Bless.

What do they do with the spleen once they take it out?

Best wishes on a speedy recovery to a very well respected coach. As a mormon, Ute fan and fan of sports in general, I truly wish that all BYU coaches handled themselves and their teams the same way Coach Rose does. Unlike a certain other coach, he does not act as if he is leading a crusade of righteousness and purity against all that is evil and corrupt. When his methods and schemes differ from that of other coaches, he does not act like his way is the only true and correct way on this earth. He does not act like his players are superior human beings playing for the highest and best institution ever created. Instead, he seems to realize that he coaches what amounts to a fun but ultimately insignificant sport. His players play hard, good basketball but minus the "we are the crusaders of good" attitude we see from certain other BYU teams. It's refreshing.

I'm glad that he has recovered in time to coach BYU to another lose in the NCAA Tourney!

Get well soon! Now if you could just win a Tournament Game!!

You Utah fans really need to get a life. Worry about your own sorry program and quit being so jealous.
Re: Crimson Club | 4:24 p.m. June 10, 2009
Seriously? You chose an article on Rose's recovery from surgery to make disparaging comments about him? From previous comments, I knew you had no class, but I didn't imagine that you would stoop this low.

The saddest part of this is you chose to use the title of "Crimson Club" as if you were somehow representative of other Ute fans.

Get well soon.

i have lived all over the country and no fans are worse than Utah and BYU fans. They are petty, immature and those who spend all day in church are hypocrites. It is disgusting how bad they act and these statements show just how bad they are. Time to get a life, get a grip and grow up. Best wishes to any coach who has surgery. BYU fans are just as bad.

Thanks for generalizing the fans of two schools. It's too bad we aren't all as "good" as you are.

A great coach and a better person. There are times in life when we need to put aside the fanatisism of sports and cheer someone on as they tackle personal challenges that are more important than what shots are being taken or the number of wins someone has in a tourney, this is one of those times...

He is a great man and a great coach. He does the best he can with unathletic, selfish and whiney players. Get well soon coach!

The best thing I can say about coach is that I would want him to coach my kids. I would be thrilled to have Coach Rose coach my kids, in Jr High, High School or College.

Looks like Coach's spleen will "stay in Vegas"

I'm pretty sure that you haven't watched any BYU Basketball games because Jackson Emery is on of the most athletic, unselfish, and non-complaining basketball players that I've ever had the opportunity to watch play the game of basketball.

until they set the season goal to be the national championship (and forget about the MWC crown - which would come naturally in light of the higher goal) the cougs will always be once and done in the ncaa playoffs.
