So Turley and Acheson are excited about furloughs and layoffs just in case they are needed without any real information on staffing levels. To think that all existing programs can be maintained with fewer employees and less revenue is absurd. Lets see, there will be no utility rate increase even as the cost of wholesale power is going up and the mayor is draining the enterprise fund budgets. Employee levels have already seen drastic cuts through attrition during the past few years. Now all they can talk about is furloughs and layoffs. Maybe they should look at reducing fluff spending such as the $250,000 they are about to spend on the information services offices and continued spending on the golf course retail area that has no tenants who intend to go there.
