Please, Boozer, take your legs and run and leave us Milsap. Your defense is severely lacking, and you are not dependable.
booz has never let the fans influence his decisions. He left cleveland in a sideways deal, seldom plays unless he's 100%. Has the worst pick and roll defense in the nba on a team with a coach that practically perfected it. So booz, if you're listening, we'd really love for you to stay. You're worth every penny of that outrageous contract of which you only play 67% of the time. Your defensive footwork is flawless and you're leadership on the floor is palpable.
booz, please, please, please, do the selfish thing, think only of yourself and your alimony payments and opt out.
Just go, Boozer.
If we could only transplant those legs and the tin man's heart to boozer.
Somebody actually prefers Millsap over Boozer. Now that's news for sure.
The Jazz could really become the loser if Boozer stays and they cannot keep Millsap in the fold because of money problems.
Boozer has the talent and the ability to have achieved greatness in his game, to have left a mark on his position and to have become very very wealthy. In the end Boozer stands as a symbol for what is wrong with this country, people wanting easy money for minimum effort. Boozer is like that fancy sports car you want and then when you get it, it spends more time in the shop than performing on the road. Booz, take your broken, injury prone play/act and go elsewhere.
It's proven that A.K., Boozer, and Memo arenot going to win you a championship or even close to it. I doubt Milsap would either. Get David Lee, Gerald Wallace, Andres Nocioni and one or two others and start from square one.
8-9 millions from 700+k from last year? Millsap, take it and then ask the Jazz for a little bit more when they match it....LOL!!
Maybe all this talk about Millsap will light the right fire under KOC's butt. The only comparisons I hear between Booz and Milly is current numbers. I think the upside on Milly is 22 and 12. Better than Boozer has ever done, with much better defense to boot. Just think if Paul adds another 15 punds to his frame. Can you say Willis Reed? Sign Milly. He'll get better. Boozer is not stable.
The jazz need to let Boozer go, or just flat out trade him. Sure, he is an offensive weapon, but where he occupies a critical roster spot, and a lot of salary room, we could get a more complete player (read: plays defense too) for a smaller price tag.
Oh wait, we already have one of those. :) We will match whatever offer is made to Paul Milsap, and we should. He works VERY hard, and plays both offense AND defense. Boozer needs to go ASAP. Give Milsap the roster spot he deserves, and back fill the bench.
I hope he opts out. Milsap is quiker and has more heart
Why not send Boozer, Milsapp, and Brewer to the Pistons...trade for Iverson!..couple a 1st round draft picks....then maybe the Jazz won't be such Loozers!!!
Everyone wants to give a boozer a hard time, but memo's lack of effort is worse than boozers. Boozer should get more money than millsap, and probably will, even though he's a roll of the dice, while no one talks about memo being one of the worse defenders in the league, everyone says go boozer, but memo is worse for the team and people should be saying go memo.
Iverson? Iverson is the biggest bust since Sam Bowie! We don't want Iverson...he's a clown!
I would give some weight to "letting both Boozer and Memo go", but none of the players you suggested have taken their teams any further than Boozer and Memo:
David Lee: good player, but he's never, ever played on a playoff team. No more a winner than Memo or Boozer.
Gerald Wallace: also hasn't ever won a playoff series was a 12th man when he was.
Andres Nocioni: a swingman (an already overloaded position for Utah) to address the problem at PF?
Im a pistons fan and would love to see either Boozer or Milsap on this team. since you dont like Memo Jazz cop then send him back here where he won a RING!!! I remember before the chauncey deal that the jazz and pistons with ben wallace were mirror images of each other. tough defensive minded first teams except the jazz was in a deeper conference. Now the jazz and pistons need to get the presence back. the jazz is missing a shooting guard and have been for some time(Jeff Hornacek,Jeff Malone). We need a pwer forward and center. send Iverson,Amir Johnson and Will Bynum for Boozer or Milsap and Memo. WIN WIN for both teams. but the jazz have to keep A.K. and Korver to be a legitimate threat in the western conference.
Utah will do whatever it takes to resign Paul Millsap to a long-term deal. Boozer will opt out to test the market and the real question is whether he will get anything close to what he expects. I think Boozer is as good as gone, but Millsap will be back.
Jazz fans are pathetic. If a story came out next week saying Boozer is the priority and Millsap has been talking with other teams, this page would be full of good riddence Millsap posts.
Give us all one for that comment. You must need read the other posts, no one wants Paul to leave he is valued here starting or off the bench.
