Springdale is a great example of a gateway community for southern Utah canyon country. My wife and I have enjoyed staying there as a base for day hiking. We like the quiet atmosphere and we have patronized the diverse lodgings, restaurants and other tourism businesses. We hope Kanab, Moab, Torrey and other towns are studying what Springdale has done. They have some catching-up to do.

Springdale has partnered with Zion National Park, and a summer park shuttle runs through the town's Main Street.
