I went to the show today and it was a proud moment for me to be an American. I wish to thank all our men and women in uniform. I also was so impressed with the great jets that our military men fly so well. It brought a few tears to my eyes as some of the jets roared by the crowd. Anyone that went away from the show unappreciative of this great country needs to take a step back and think again. I can't get over what some of those planes(jets) did. The size of those cargo jets, and the speed of those fighter planes was totally awesome. Go get them Air Force. Also that Navy fighter jet was totally awesome also. America is indeed a great place. Thanks go to all the scientists and engineers that spent many long hours figuring out how to make these unbelievable planes.
THANK YOU ALL! | 9:21 p.m. June 6, 2009
Not just the brave young men and women who are serving today, but also a big thank you to their parents, and grandparents who served as well.

And, a special thank you for allowing us to hear the "sound of freedom" as these warriors conduct their training operations, day or night.

Good job by everyone, from the hundreds of traffic control cops to, well, EVERYONE involved.

THANK YOU ALL!

We loved it. It was marred only by the rude people cutting through the parking lot to cut in line to get out.

Thanks to the troops | 9:45 p.m. June 6, 2009
I have lived most of my life near USAF bases. Some may complain about the noise, but it is a comfort to me. I always know that those pilots are well prepared, and willing to go to war to keep our country safe.

Thanks to all who are willing to put their lives on the line to keep the rest of us safe, and secure our freedoms. As someone above said, thanks to their parents, grandparents, spouses and children for their sacrifices as well.

Go Thunderbirds, you always were the best! (Blue Angels are second)

Wonderful Day! | 12:54 a.m. June 7, 2009
Today was my first airshow - I gotta tell ya, I am damn proud to be an American!

I absolutely loved the airshow. I told my boys that today was my Disneyland.

I'm not ashamed to say as a middle-aged man, my eye's welled up as I say this remarkable display. I never got the opportunity to serve in the military, but watching those fine young men and women, it made me wish I had.

I am proud of the Air Force - thank you for allowing me to bring my sons to such a remarkable event - for free - and introduce them to just a small part of what makes America great.

THANK YOU for your service to the greatest country in the world.

I am indeed damn proud to be an American!

Iwas in the navy when the F-4(PHANTOM)first came on the scene in 1963.It's performance at this show 46 years later is evidence that we make the BEST.The announcer made the remark that the phantom absolutely refuses to "GIVE-UP".HATS OFF TOO ALL VETERANS,PAST,PRESENT AND FUTURE.

Thanks, too, to the aerospace engineers who design and maintain the planes. They're lower profile but definitely part of the chain that keeps us safe.

It was a wonderful air show. All the future airmen in the audience seem to enjoy it too. I only saw a very few rude people mostly when it came time to leave the base. My wife and I sat and watched all the people fighting to get out and then after about an hour we started the car and drove off the base with out stopping once. I never understand why people are in a hurry to leave when there is such a large crowd. Relax, enjoy people watching then go.

I live close to the base, & my wife was wondering how our 1 year old baby would do at the loud airshow. Aparrently she is so used to the sounds of F-16s that it didn't even phase her. It usually doesn't bother me unless I am trying to watch TV & I can't hear the dialog. If the Air Force could avoid prime time hours for their drills I'd appreciate it ;).

I wasn't in a hurry to get out, I was in a hurry to get to Popeye's ;). We need to get one of those here for the people without base access. That is good chicken & they have awesome Jambalaya.

Overall it was as awesome day. Thank you USAF.

The Air Force Thunderbirds soar over Hill Air Force Base Saturday. Thousands turned out to watch the acrobatic air show and tour aircraft and exhibits at the base. The show continues today.
