Be lucky you got "At Last." The woman is 71 years old and terrific. She sang her hits. This show was a privilege to attend, and as the writer says, was excellent.

Let's put it this way. A thousand dollars will buy you a lot of glass, but not many diamonds. People at the show were hearing diamonds - not glassy cover versions of other people's hits. I have never timed a concert to see if I was getting my money's worth. I have left concerts upset that I didn't hear my fave song though.

I hear that her son, who normally plays bass, was replaced by the infamously funky Bobby Vega. Evidently, Mr. James was in an accident and has been unable to play. So sorry to hear that, and I wish him a speedy recovery. So glad to hear that the ever soulful Bobby Vega came to the rescue.

etta James is 71 years. God bless her. He gave her a talent and she has used it and is still using it to the fullest.

Age is just a number. It is the way in which we keep our bodies healthy and don't abuse that allows us to keep going in spite of the number.
