Dining out: Cancun Cafe

Cancun Cafe is OK, if you like bland mexican food with no spice. It's like "comfort" mexican food.

It doesn't come anywhere close to Red Iguana or Lone Star Tacqueria for quality or flavor.

I love the place! The portions are good. The food is cheap, the chips are great, and you can't go wrong!

The salsa is quite good here but also quite different. Goes well with their chips. The only thing I particularly like on the menu is the Chile Rellenos. They do a good job with those. The rest is just average.

Can't say the Red Iguana has ever impressed me. Haven't tried the Lonestar place. My fave Mexican is Las Cazuelas. Good tongue taco, entomatada and lots more.

My husband's family LOVES Cancun. The first time they took me there I had hairs in my food so it kind of ruined that place for me. I can say my in-laws eat there a few times a year and really love it thought...
