New beginning is getting omama to step down and let someone that knows something to step in.
Well, it Obama says we are "not a Christian nation", but we could be the largest Muslim (islamic)nation on earth...
And how many burkas do you want to order today ...blue or black...
wake up people...
Its funny we never hear anyone from the Islamic world apologize for beheading innocent citizens of ours or flying planes into our buildings, but we must kiss up to Islam. Obama needs to study history. The only way to live with Islam is to be strong not hold hands and sing kumbia.
Maybe "Our Beloved President" has not heard of the new threat of anthrax across our boarders.
More BS from BO who just loves the camera and teleprompter?
Can't trust this new ..... what does he really do besides undermine this nation?
The Bush mid-east policy was successful for 8 years. Why anyone would want to mess with perfection is beyond me.
successful? perfection? you have GOT to be joking
The complete text of Obama's speech is on this site. Please read it before posting more bias. It was a really good speech. (it is 11 pages long and will require a little investment of time, rather than snap judgments) Our president did us proud, and stated things that needed to be said. I have never been his supporter but I think he did a fantastic job representing the need for religious tolerance, human rights, our desire for peace and the political issues that drive America.
Anonymous/8:22 don't you just shake your head at times and wonder what rock these people come from under?
At least it starts your day off with a giggle.
The speech is great. The problem is that, like Obama says, this is just a speech. We need policies that will send out an olive branch without putting our national safety at risk. This is not the time to put our heads in the sand and pretend that we don't have an insidious enemy out there. The reality appeasement has never worked. We are not dealing with sane people. They are driven by an deep, intense and all-consuming ideology that is completely separate from any US conduct in the world. Such hatred can not be excused as a legitimate response to any US action.
I'm suspicious of why Big O went to a foreign country to deliver this speech. It does'nt seem right. However, I haven't yet heard what Rush thinks about it. I'll post more about my opinion on the speech after I hear what he says.
How dare he go to the Middle East and ask people to respect each other. He's a commie.
I heard it and have read. Good? Nice delivery, but very inaccurate.
That was a great speech. If he was really changing something, that would be great, but he is not. He quoted the scriptures in holy books, but promotes policies that are contrary, unsustainable and oppressive to humanity.
The primary message of the Qur'an is to follow the whole Bible. Jesus said to live by EVERY word of God. Is Islam doing that? NO. Is Christianity doing that? NO. God said, there is no peace to the wicked. Islam is being condemned for wanting to keep abortion, same gender relationships, secular government, women forsaking family to seek riches and honor and seeking after riches and honor out of their nations; but that is what we are all called to do.
When this president and his administration are truthful and transparent to show his school records, passport and full birth information to disprove what evidence suggests is an Indonesian citizen in the US on a student visa when over 18 years old, (making him ineligible to be president according to US Constitution), then we can stop fearing his intentions for America and the world can look to a great leader.
I'm just guessing here, but El Rushbo will probably find something to not like in the speech - perhaps every syllable. Still, since there are one billion Muslims out there, that just means that we can't bomb them ALL. Also, I think 8:13 actually WAS joking, although sometimes it's hard to tell.
worst president ever
greatest president ever
I feel like I live on another planet. I did not read the speech. Will not read the speech. I crenge every time he goes on one of these speaking tours. To say America is not a Christain nation, but a muslim nation says it all. What does he say after that to make anyone have any confidence in what he is saying? He knows nothing about the country he is pretending to lead.
Yes George Bush was
I get my daily news from multiple print and broadcast sources. I have seen countless stories done on moderate Islamic leaders apologizing for the violent aspects of their religion.
Obama is joining the conversation, not starting it. the fact that you aren't aware that the dialog had even started is a reflection on you, not the President.
RLP at 10:07, you are so right. Obama knows nothing, nothing at all.
Lets see, he graduated from Harvard Law School, somehow convinced Michelle to marry him, won the Democratic nomination beating the Clintons at their own game and made the Republican attack machine irrelevant in the Fall presidential election.
But you're right, he's a know nothing and grossly incompetent. How I wish Cheney and Bush (or was it Bush and Cheney?) were still in the White House. We would be so much better off!
Right!
