Who'd have thought ten years ago we'd be beating out Nebraska for recruits like this? Articles like this give me the warm fuzzies.

Aggie Fan!

2 of the 3 are still looking at becoming an Aggie!

re:Ute Fan

Nebraska is a nobody. Last year Utah had Latu Heimuli who turned down Florida among others.

Re: Ute Fan

If Nebraska is a nobody what does that say about your Koogs???

Bluehombre

Must not be too bad if the nations #1 rated QB selects the Y.

Re: Bluemombre

Two words "Ben Olsen". Wasn't he a number one recruit. BYU will find a way to ruin another over rated recruit.

I think it's great we're getting the #1 QB, but what about the defense? That's where the problems are. Can we outscore everybody? Probably most, but certainly not all. Kudos to Bronco for getting the QB. I've been critical of him for a long time, but this is a great moment for him. Still, it worries me that the Utes are signing these fast guys out of Texas, and some of them will end up playing on defense. Nice job Bronco, now get some speed on defense.

Kudos for the cougars for landing a big time recruit. Now when the TCU , SDSU, and, introduce him to the new sod let's hope , " Take a knee '" Anae will snot stick to the passing game or else the lineman , safeties, and linebackers are going to have a great time,, especially when he is having the medics on the field counting their fingers. I I'm not concerned about him as Coach of the year Kyle comes up with some great defense,
On a more positive note it's good to see three new ball players from Texas along with another Kruegar player coming into the best program this last ten years. Should be a case where speed kills, especially after hauling out the body bags following the Oklahoma game.
The Utes will probably be invited to another bowl game and go for their ninth in a row.. YBU on the other hand.. we know that they are 1-21 against ranked teams so don't hold your breath.
Kyle is breaking in both new offensive and defen

Poor utes

Still getting 2 star recruits, cant get the top football players in Utah so again u settle for 2 star players from Texas. If they were good, they would be playing for Texas, Oklahoma, Texas AM etc, etc. Ha Ha,

College football fan

The good programs in this league take 2-star recruits and turn them into NFL prospects.

More power to the Utes. We'll see how good these players are when it's time to graduate.

I'm betting on good coaching to make a real difference.

Coach Kyle is also breaking in new offensive and defensive coordinators. This should be a white knuckle year for the MWC. I really don't see a favorite except maybe TCU , Utah, San Diego State, ( with Rocky long as new defensive coordinator , and YBU in that order.
Still all in all these should make the bowl series with a record of 4-1. This is considering the blue bloods and their past miserable performances the last ten years. I see their glory days as history , although they won't. They prefer to bring up some trophy that was against a 6-5 team when Reagan was in office.

Nebraska is hardly a nobody. All they have fallen from their perch of ten years ago, they have resurrected their program and are a top 20 program. Certainly as good as the Cougars! Probably beter.

Re: Poor Utes

Our two-star recruits go to the NFL and lead us to BCS wins. Your recuits (regardless of stars) lead you to mediocre bowl records. Get coaches who know what to do with talent.

Do Utes even know who Latu H is?

Latu is a 09 signee who had offers from multiple BCS programs. I made reference to him explaining that Utah has had some great recruits who have turned down multiple BCS offers...programs far better than Nebraska. How you turned that into a BYU bash is beyond me. Maybe you should actually follow your recruits as well as BYU's. You will quickly notice that BYU and Utah are now competing with the mid level BCS and occasional powerhouse BCS programs for recruits. Both schools are landing kids with multiple BCS offers. It shows the progress both are having. Oh, and the Stout kid had an offer from Nebraska as well.
