My great-grandfather, Justin Albert Smith, was one of the settlers of Benmore, and served as the first branch president. I loved hearing stories from my grandfather, John Reed Skidmore, about his early life in Benmore. I'm glad someone is working to preserve the history.
I remember visiting Benmore as a child, walking around the ruins and wondering what it must have been like when my ancestors lived there. It would be wonderful to have those stories preserved.
