trade em all, bring in new ones, fire sloan
Here, here, I almost agree...Put the energy guys in the mix...Harpring, Williams, Millsap...Who else cares? Brewer improve alot, but man that shot stinks, poor dude. Koufos played well sometimes...
You're right, let's do that and win 2 games a year!
That's because he'd rather have Bosh on the Jazz too!
it would be better for the Jazz if a "sign and trade" happen regarding Boozer, at least we get something in return for the departure of Boozer rather than receive nothing if Boozer really opts out, I think that's the best option.. getting Bosh would be great for the Jazz but I'm sure Toronto will not settle with Boozer alone in the trade, Boozer will have some company or major cash considerations if the "sign and trade" happens
Bosh will never wear a Jazz uniform. Get used to it.
The Jazz doesn't make big trades, we aren't getting Bosh. They would prefer to let Boozer fall off the payroll rather than trading him because they don't want to pay the money.
I would be happy with something as simple as getting rid of AK and his huge contract or trade up for Thabeet.
However knowing that the jazz almost refuse to change anything from the coach, front office, lame-A pick and roll pg pf combo offense, lots of talk of defense but not going with a policy that will actually provide defense, not playing/developing derserving rookies over over-paid washed up veterens(for the sake that they are veterans), and the list goes on...I am not getting my hopes up.
leopards do not change overnight. Jerry Sloan is Jerry Sloan. Phil Johnson is Phil Johnson. Kevin O Connor is Kevin O Connor Greg Miller is same ol far as management style, nothing against Larry as a great person and friend to all. I cannot picture Chris Bosh wanting to play for Jerry Sloan. Strictly opinion. The Jazz would feel more comfortable based on history If any trades are made with Real Salt Lake. Clint Mathis would come in and replace Boozer.
I will admit total shock if we have a major change in players until the cap changes. I say what happens is to be blamed on all the "sloanaholics" and the vast majority in this town tired of Sloan yet no one expressed this openly to Jazz Ownership At least I can say I had the guts to.
Boy I want to be wrong you do not know how much. I am tired of being "just fun and competitive". I still do not feel Millsap can replace Boozer. I would take Bosh "way better for us" than AMare. Not even close...
I desperately want a deal where we get bosh for boozer but it would only make sense if we can sign Bosh to an extension this summer. Don't forget he can (and will) opt out after this season. I give us a 5% chance of pulling this off.
JUST LET THEM GO. These cry babies who think tey are worth more somewhere are dreaming, just because the JAZZ were dunb enough to let them think they are the best just because they singed them for amounts way over the moon. This cause them to think they can get more going elsewhere. I say again, JUST LET THEM GO.
The Jazz aren't that bad. All we need is a power forward who can play defense and a little more experience under the belts of DWill, Price, Brewer and Miles. Boozer is absolutely awful on defense -- seldom helps his teammates, won't help the helper, looks like a deer in the headlights. He's so bad on defense that he could score 30 points a game, and it would not make up for the energy he sucks fromt he team. DWill knows it, too, and that's why he didn't go on and on about how great Boozer is and how much the Jazz need to retain him.
With a good basic forward (pick any of the middle tier in the league), the Jazz might not have lost to what is likely to be the eventual champs. The Jazz don't need a super star to replace Boozer, just somebody who can score 12 to 14 points, play defense and get seven or nine rebounds. The key is defense.
Players come and go, even franchises for that matter. The game is bigger than all of them. It must be really frustrating if winning is all that matters!
I for one can enjoy the game regardless of the result.
All I ask is that the players play hard and play it the right way. Atleast we have a 'team' in Utah not a one on five circus. Jerry may be a dinasaur to some, but believe me when he's gone, just like STOCK, he'll be missed. There like won't be seen again, and the game is and will be poorer for it.
Peace out Booze, let's bring in a hard working big bodied player like Chris Kaman!
Can you say, "Warrior"! This is what the Jazz have been about. Players who are willing to play "hurt" but not "injured". There's a huge difference. This is why the fans love Williams and could take or leave Boozer. Personally, I want Boozer to stay because he looks like Felton Spencer's "Mini-Me".
Let Booz go, get Milsap some $$$$$$. he out works Booz every night.
Bosh at 5 Memo at 4 Milsap at 3 AK at 2 DWill at 1
Subs
Kuofus 5 Harpring/Brewer 3/4 Korver at 2 Price at 1
The Jazz have traditionally been a good team in the NBA. Considering the market they are in it is amazing that they ever make the playoffs. I am sure everyone making comments are better coaches then Sloan and better players then Boozer
I like the bosh idea, but isn't he a free agent next summer? Wouldn't we be going through the same thing next year, that is if we do get bosh...personally I think it is very possible. If we do get bosh, sign milsap, and okur (and possibly korver if we decide not to be aggressive in the free agent market). If we could keep the core guys together and trade booze for bosh, than I think we could win it all. Personally I would like to see us get Ben gordon during free agency time. I think he would come to utah if we had bosh along with williams and the rest of our team. In the draft, I've already voiced my opinion on Thabeet (we should try to get him if we cannot get bosh) but if we do get bosh, forget thabeet and we should keep our 20th pick and get BJ mullens or Ty lawson (if available-preferably ty lawson, we could use another good pg--his toe doesn't scare me) and if they're not available, get Tyler Hansbourogh...he could be a steal in the draft.
"If" they ask for input from Deron?
Gimme a break.
