Cache Valley remembers its pioneer history

Thank you for remembering the Cache Valley pioneers. Some of my relatives stayed here in Cache Valley with their relatives from Switzerland and Denmark then continued on to Star Valley Wyoming to establish their homes. Providence was the very town that welcomed them with open arms. This was the also the town that helped my great grandfather (homesteading in Bedford Wyoming) meet up with my great grandmother who was visiting her relatives in Providence. Even after all these years it is still a loving and friendly place to visit.

Thank you for the story of the Cache Valley. My Great-Grandparents were Gottlieb Gessel, Katherine Brandt, Lorenzo Edwin Tibbitts and Mary Almeda Marler. My Grandparents were Lorenzo Edwin Tibbitts and Clara Eliza Gessel. It is good to have these reminders of our pioneer ancestors and heritage. I still reminder fondly the small saga of the bringing the oxen to the Pioneer days celebration som 30 or so years ago.
