Can't Wait | 1:26 p.m. June 10, 2009
Apparently there is a future nfl pro-bowl running back on the aggies squad this year. I don't know his first name, but his last name is turbin and thats all I really need to know. I can't wait to see this kid play football. I don't know how he was passed over by so many other schools and ended up in cache valley, but given his name I can't wait to see those turbin like jet engines take off for touchdown after touchdown. His jewke moves are so stunning my ankles broke just watching. His lighting speed shatters anything zeus has to offer, and his power alone will make all feel like an atom bomb has been dropped everytime he touches the ball. Look out Utah, Boise State, San Jose State, and all others on the schedule. Turbin will single handily beat all foes who dare to challenge the mighty aggies of Utah State. Consider yourself warned!

UofUtard and BYU fans need to quit whining and writing about their own schools in this article. USU can build up again. Who said it would go fast? When Bronco was hired all the fans were so excited, and they had a losing season after losing to Cal in the LV Bowl. With Whittingham the Utes didn't do much better. It took a few years for them to get into a groove. USU won't come out winning everything right away. Anderson has his work cut out for him, but I think he can do it in the years to come.

I am a complete BYU fan, but I am starting to get pretty excited for Utah State football. I would love to see them competetive again. While I don't see the Aggies winning more than 5 games this year, the fact that we're even considering them to have a chance to win more than 2 or 3 games is huge step in the right direction. I think Anderson can do some incredible things up in Logan, and I wish him a lot of luck...especially against Utah.

I would like to add my voice to those of those commenting on this forum. I have followed the Aggies since 1964. The Aggies had one of the best records in the country through the late 1970's and were very competitive. Money was invested in a new stadium and team room in 1968, as modern as any in the country at the time. But, university administrators felt the level of investment in the program was sufficient for the times, and it probably was. However, with the rise of Title IX and the CFA in the mid-1970's, that philosophy was proven faulty. Through the next 30 years, investment by the university in football remained relatively static. Fundraising by the AD was virtually non-existent or ineffective. However, after a series of failures, the administration has now stepped up. The "right combination" of AD and Coach were hired. Facilities have been dramatically improved. The program is now at 2009 standards. This should improve everything. But for this to be sustained, Aggie fans must step up and support the program like never before. That, along with the new "exciting" coach, will provide the results so lacking in the past.
