Most of you guys are nuts. The things you say Glen Beck says or does aren't true. He doesn't hate people. He just wants the Government to leave us alone. He just wants ordinary people to see what is going on. Our country is being stolen by a bunch of godless. power-hungry thugs -- including Harry Reid. Now there is a Mormon who needs to talk to his Bishop!!

i'm a member of the LDS church and i find most of what mr beck says repugnent, but!!! he has the right to his opinion, just as i do. in a previous comment i read that we should look at his numbers. he's the most popular "News"man around. in the 1930's adolph hitler was the most popular man in germany, that didn't turn out to well. everything in the USA seems to be a popularity contest. that was fine when we were in high school, but now we are supposed to be adults. grow up america.

Some of you who are embarrassed about Glenn Beck probably should stay embarrassed for a while until you finally wear yourself out wringing your hands and begin to feel comfortable enough in your own Mormon skin enough not to flinch. You need to get to the point that you don't worry about the effect that the image that one person puts forth will do to the work of the Lord. For one thing, you can do nothing about it. You are going to be a lot happier if you let it go.

This also goes for those who are hypersensitive to the weakness of Mormons in Utah. You seriously need to relax and get some charity towards the household of faith. You need to not fret about how elegantly the others on the strait and narrow path are proceeding. Those who will come into the Gospel will come in time. They have and they will. Meanwhile, no amount of sophistication by one who intends to be faithful will ever get the approval of the great and spacious building. We need to just be faithful and let it go.

If I remember correctly, there is a question asked by the church if a member is a part of a group that would go against the Mormon religion... how about the 9/12 group? I think the Church has great programs for people, and I think Mr. Beck should stop forming his own groups. I know I don't hear any beattitudes in his speeches... He is free to say and do what he wishes, but he is not free from responsibility from said words or actions. And I also don't buy his constant comment, "I'm just asking questions". Okay, Mr. Beck, are you on the sauce again? I don't know, I'm "just asking questions". Get off the looney wagon, dude.

I don't know much about Mormanism, but his lies are contrary to being a Christian.

I am not a Morman, but I live in a small Morman town in Nevada. I think that Glenn Beck being an LDS is a great boost for the LDS church. He tells the truth, even about his own past indiscretions. He is not full of vitriol, but a passionate and sincere patriot speaking to all dems, conservatives, and independents. Yes, he is crazy at times, but he gets the point across with the facts. I find him refreshing and extremely hilarious, mixed with a sense of urgency for what our country is in store for if we don't stand together. You all should be proud to have this man counted as one of the LDS. Now, Harry Reid, that is another matter!

I get tired of LDS members treating Glenn Beck as a prophet of sorts. The Lord doesn't talk to people through a 24 hour news channel. I could never imagine Jesus Christ or President Monson saying the things that Glenn Beck says. Glenn Beck says what he says because he gets paid mighty well to say it. It's sad that more LDS people can't seem to recognize that. It's no wonder that multi-level marketing and scams tend to thrive in Utah...

He is a disgrace to the LDS church and its members everywhere. Ultra conservatism is not the Gospel, and Glenn Beck's constant hate speech is certainly not in line with Gospel or Church principles--not the Gospel and Church I believe in at least.

Just because 'Glenn Beck Mormon' is a common search doesn't mean it's a good thing. I got here because I was curious to find out if he was affiliated with the Church. It's a shame and disgrace for the LDS church. Not everyone is "interested" in what he has to say. It may be more of a sick fascination that people are typing his name into Google.

Anybody who says anything about image and are concerned about him "destroying" the image of the Church needs to look in the mirror themselves. Are you saying that you are the "perfect" representative of the Church? If so than you have deeper issues than wondering if he is. I think his Elders Quorum lessons would be great, and you probably wouldn't get very many "sleepers".

I am ashamed that Glen Beck is a Mormon. What comes out of his mouth is opposite of everything I was taught at home or Church. We seem to want to emulate him more than President Monson, who, by the way, just presented President Obama with his family history and stated it was an "honor" to do so. I am not an Obama fan, but I am a fan of common decency. On Glen Beck's radio show he was talking gutter talk - so foul, I wouldn't repeat the words to my own husband, and I'm no prude! Are we that fearful, that angry, that intolorant and hateful, that we let others do our thinking? As a conservative. I am shocked to hear some Church members infer that Obama is the Devil, Satan or Hitler. What Church do I belong to anyway? These thoughts have been flamed by Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck, our new heroes and leaders. I hope Conference will bring a more peaceful mode of expression. I have faith it will.

Glen Beck really is tarnishing the image of the Mormon church throughout the country and the world. You can imagine many people, upon hearing his extreme views and learning he is LDS, automatically assume that he speaks for many in the church. I hate to see people close their doors to Mormon missionaries because this well known Mormon personality regularly exhibits bigotry, utilizes hate speech, engages in dishonest statements, and concocts the mind boggling conspiracy theories.

i just want to thank all of the mormons on here that reject beck. he is not christ-like, not a good representation of good mormon people, and needs to be rejected in unison.

kudos for all the mormon people who are wise enough to see through this dime-store act who is hell bent on dividing this nation.

Glenn does not represent my mormon values.

Glen has caused me to seriously reconsider a faith I joined in 1999 and left, I am seriously studying that Faith in hopes that it will lead me closer to God!!!
Hispanic LDS member | 7:38 p.m. Oct. 16, 2009
I am amazed to read that some so called "members of the LDS church", they like and praise Glen Beck. I once lived in Utah and they are a lot of members that think and act the same way as Beck. He is always attacking immigrants (specially Hispanics and/or Latinos), and besides all the other things he preach–I quote Prugna comment here from Oct. 1st–"bigotry, utilizes hate speech, engages in dishonest statements, and concocts the mind boggling conspiracy theories."

Yes, his comments regarding immigration are a personal attack to me and all Hispanic members of the church that are here–legal or illegal– and have living honestly in the U.S. Also to the thousands of people that are converted to the church in branches and wards each month all across America, and yes, illegals too.

How you can explain the new Hispanic members that a white guy, who preach that is member of the same church, and supposedly is an active member of his Elder's Quorum, that he is also the same person that want them to be removed and deported from the U.S.?

My husband is a j/w and as an overall whole I would say they are very faith based and practice their religion at lease as well as most LDS. They are actually very similiar. They, however, think Glen Beck is as far from a Christian as there is. My husband would never join the church after he heard how hateful Glen Beck is.
