Is an extremely academically qualified, but extremely unqualified from her past experience as a Judge!!!
Either way you spin it, she'll get in (which will be bad for the American people and the Constitution)as she will pull the "RACE" card out when given the opportunity.
Democrats will be certain to push Sotomayor through the back door for approval and the left will also continue to push their agenda of incompetence.
. . . that judges are supposed to follow establised law (the rule of law), and not let personal opinions or values intervene in their decisions. Then, in cases line the Ricci case, complain when judges follow the rule of law (established law), and not let personal opinions or values intervene in their decisions.
Do I disagree with the result in Ricci? Yes, absolutely. Do I understand and approve how Sotomayor reached her decision in the case? Yes, again, absolutely -- it was the only thing she could do consistent with the rule of law (established law). I am very glad the case is now before the Supreme Court, where the justices will most likely make law by re-writing the law upon which Ricci was decided.
There is a word to describe what the far-right folk here are doing. It's called hypocracy.
I think 4:15 is pretty accurate, except for the "back door" statement. The truth is, Democrats will push her through the front door (the only door I know of, I might add, for getting a SC justice). They can because they have control of the executive and legislative levers of power. It's a democracy, and they have won more elections. Period.
Thanks to all the Republicans who voted for Obama. He couldn't have won without you. The Democrats don't know any better, but you should have.
With seemingly every act, Obama breaks a spoken promise. He promised a fair Supreme Court nominee, and he picks a left-wing extremist. And on we go.
Judge Sotomayor is NOT a left-wing extremist. At most she is a left-center justice. She defers to the rule of law, and is therefore NOT an activist (unlie the far-right-leaning contingent, who want to undo anything that doesn't match their pre-conceived idea of what the law would be and to heck with any legal precedent that they might have to tromp all over to get their viewpoints in place). She's an excellent choice for the Court, and President Obama well kept his promise to provide a fair Supreme Court Nominee.
Just what we need, a judge who thinks it's her job to change the law and the country to what she thinks it ought to be. Her rulings have been overturned 33 times, that tells you that she isn't qualified to be one of the people who make the decision about what gets overturned.
This woman is about as qualified as Harriet Myers to be on the court. She is yet another disaster in a presidency that is only 100 days old and makes about that many daily mistakes.
Beside not being able to spell rigth "RIGHT"
you comment make no sense whatsover,
and amounts to nothing more than a weak and failed attempt to support Obama's choice.
what stronger sign is there that she is NOT a good enough Judge for the HIGHEST court of the land,
than the fact that the majority of her decisions that have been appealed to a higher court are overturned,
then add that the RACIST and SEXIST statement she as made, and the statement about making policy,
statements she has made relatively recently,
and clearly she is NOT qualified to be a Judge on HIghest court of the land.
