The place is pretty small for how much it costs. Hogle Zoo is a better deal. It's a shame they can't somehow combine to form one place.
I agree that there is not much to it for the price. Bad location too
$8 for adults and $6 for kids isn't much for both an entertaining and educational experience. Besides, if you purchase an annual membership and use it only twice, it pays for itself.
We purchased annual memberships and return over and over again throughout the year. Not a bad price at all for the joy it brings my kids.
With the addition of the new exhibit, I think it is well worth the admissions price you pay.
We had a pass last year, but almost every time we went on a weekday, there were dead or sick animals. We went frequently enough to realize that they seem to clean it up on the weekends when the crowds come. Never saw a problem then. We saw dead jellyfish, dead seahorses, all kinds of dead aquarium fish, and some suspiciously dead looking sharks that had previously been the active swimmers. I know living things will die, but we felt like if we were there on a weekday, dead animals were guaranteed. I LOVE the idea of having an aquarium here in the valley, but maybe they need to bring in more qualified staff to care for the critters.
