I would love to see the choir, but I just felt that they were a bit high priced here in Missouri. I don't know how the tickets have sold, but I know that they were not getting a lot to buy tickets in our Stake. It will be interesting to see if they fill the seats.

I had the pleasure of taking in a choir concert here in Toronto in 1984 as part of a 150th anniversary choral festival. They performed at Mapleleaf Gardens and roy Thompson Hall. I took in the concert at the Gardens. Brother Kinard did a fine job as host.

They are going to be in Des Moines, IA, and our stake is renting a bus to take people there but because we are in a stake in IA and live a long way from the stake center it would be easier for us to go to Omaha but as one comment said earlier the tickets are pricey for our budget. There are alot of people that dont have that kind of money around here to be able to go. I can understand that there is alot of expense moving 368 choir members, the whole entourage that is required to move that many but we just cant afford it. From what has been said it sounds like there arent even enough to take the bus to the concert. Times are tough right now and that would be a luxary for most of us back here. But I sure love to hear them sing at conference. A good buddy of mine just retired after 20 years with the MTC. I would always look for her when it came time for general conference just to see her. That was always a treat.
