Have you read or at least looked at the book? The authors of the book were given full access to the records of the Church Archives to put the book together. Richard Turley has been the Historian of the Church as well as a General Authority. The writing of this book was also encouraged by and authorized by President Hinckley as a project to open up these events to everyone's views.

This book was most deserving of its accolades. It was approached thoughtfully and extremely well balanced. In the Religious History world and naturally in Church History circles it has been accepted as an incredible and balanced work of historical writing.

Might I recommend you purchase or at least spend some time reading the book. I think you will be quite surprised at what you read.
